After looking at the photo which a friend sent me, I’ve decided.

  1. Cafea Fruor says:

Is that a, ahem, veiled threat?

  2. JustaSinner says:

No bucket of rocks needed with Suster Ethel. And something tells me should would be dead accurate with a .45 ACP!

  3. The Egyptian says:

We had several Sisters that taught in our public school, (Sisters of the Precious Blood), some good some not so, however the discipline was final, and yes they swung a nasty ruler.
My dad was taught by the same Sisters in a two room school in the 40’s, one had a habit of throwing black board erasers at the boys, (she also pitched for the noon recess baseball games, she had deadly good aim), one day a student ducked and she cracked an old 3/4 inch thick slate blackboard behind him, she meant business

  4. Mark Windsor says:

It’s clearly a high capacity yard stick with 36 inches on it. 36!! Why on earth do you need 36 on one yardstick.

No. What we need in this country is very strict yardstick control in this country.

  5. Jenson71 says:

A little bit rule of law, a little bit law of the ruler (*whack*)

  6. Grant M says:

I could bring a keristo my next class in Jakarta, but the Mall Security might confiscate it. (But most of my students are fairly harmless anyway.)

  7. Carrie says:

With any luck, we’ll soon have guns in the hands of teachers. That should take care of discipline problems!

[Oh my. No. The only time guns should be in the hands of teachers in a school setting is when the bad guy has finally gotten through the door or defenses and there is real danger of bodily harm to themselves or others under their charge. The only people who use guns for discipline are, frankly, bullies, tyrants, dictators, thugs… like Communists and Nazis… in other words, the Left.]

  8. Semper Gumby says:

Inspirational photo of Sister Ethel defending the Rule of Law by brandishing the Holy Ruler of St. Ambrose. If young squire Robert in the back of the classroom acts up, Sister Ethel, after consulting the Book of Armaments and counting to Three (as Five is Right Out), would chuck the Holy Eraser of Antioch.
