    Interesting! Some people claim that Latin is a dead language because, they say, it doesn’t have words for some modern things. As we could see, neither does English. New words are being added all the time. And old words are falling into oblivion all the time. Who listens to “records” any more these days?

    Actually, quite a few people listen to records. It’s a separate collectors’ hobby, that’s all.

    I imagine there must be some conflict between analog record aficionados and the “scratchers” who use records as musical instruments, since one imagines they frequent the same shops.
