Fr. Z,
Thinking of you in Rome. I was one of those struggling with your slow server yesterday.
I was stunned by the news about Michael, and grateful to see your posts.
And grateful for all the rest of your commentary, as usual.
Hope to see you soon. Bests..
My children and I are praying for Michael and his family. The Creative Minority Report has set up a fund to help with expenses.

Such a loss. Tricia
My children and I will pray a rosary for the repose of his soul and for his family. Love and prayers from San Antonio. Miriam
“Christian joy tempered with sorrow”…That was beautiful and perfectly expressed.
I do not know who this man or his family is but I will certainly offer immediate prayers for all.
I remembered Michael in my Rosary this morning in our Adoration chapel.
Yes, Father-that was a perfect expression!
I must remember that beautiful expression, Father. Since I learned about Michael’s passing I have offered my rosaries and Masses for him and for his family. May our merciful Lord watch over them.
How sad for his family… We will keep them all in our prayers. May God bless his soul–a soul which also bears the indelible mark of the priesthood. Will he be given a priest’s funeral in this situation? Does a Novus Ordo funeral for priests differ from a lay funeral?
