I love bakalva……are the episcopal gloves yours Father? are you giving us a hint?

  2. He’s hinting that he had Greek food for lunch!

  3. Jack Hughes says:

perhaps Fr is thinking of going East :)

  4. edwardo3 says:

Good idea to put the Gauntlets in plastic, Father. They are so hard to keep clean, especially the white ones.

  5. JonM says:

Best baklava I had was in Astoria.

  6. Padre Steve says:

Did you have some nice moussaka too? I am hungry just thinking about it!

  7. Andy Lucy says:

I enjoyed the baklava at the Pegasus Restaurant in Chicago. The saganaki was excellent as well.

  8. Father G says:

I used to have Armenian Orthodox next-door neighbors who would bring me home made freshly baked baklava. It was soooo gooood!

  9. Rachel says:

Don’t tell me, Father– you’ve been appointed the new coadjutor of L.A.! Oh frabjous day!

I’ll take your advice and just have the baklava alone.

  10. catholicmidwest says:

Sooo, Fr. Z. What are you trying to tell us?

  11. irishgirl says:

Yeah, Fr. Z-we’d like to know!

  12. Marius2k4 says:

I would offer two weeks’ pay to my parish, in thanks to Almighty God, if you were made Archbishop of L.A.

I would offer quite a sum nonetheless if you were made bishop of anywhere. You are the sort we need, Father.

  13. bookworm says:

“I would offer quite a sum nonetheless if you were made bishop of anywhere.”

Marius, we here in Springfield have been waiting almost 10 months so if Fr. Z ends up in the Land of Lincoln both of us will be showing our gratitude.

  14. Jack Hughes says:

I can imagine what would happen if Fr Z became Bishop Z, a year long audit of the diocese followed by firm but compassionate pointers to the priests and laity, I also imagine that like Gussipe Sarto AKA St Pius X he would be a ‘hands on’ Bishop.

  15. I think the focus here is really on the qualities of the baklava and the detrimental effect it might have on some liturgical vestments.

  16. Marius2k4 says:

Bah! Don’t go dashing our hopes, like that!
