How to get bad news: a practicum

I don’t often look at these "Hitler finds out about [FILL IN BLANK]" videos, but this one is pretty funny.

If you understand German, you might have to turn the audio down a little bit so you won’t be distracted by what the Führer is really saying.

Very funny! I’m hoping and praying for the ‘picking off’ of other dioceses in CA.

I saw this on Bp. Gracida’s blog yesterday and I can not stop laughing. You just know the liberals are having a nutty over Apb. Gomez’ appointment to L.A.

Joe of St.Therese has to see this.

  3. GoZagsGo says:

But father! The Hitler’s reaction to the Oasis break-up is classic! I’m pretty sure I shed a tear! ;)

  4. chironomo says:

I nearly cried at the one woman comforting the other saying “He’s just worried about Hollywood and the liturgical dancers, that’s all”…

I find it intriguing that we find it useful to use Hitler as a mouthpiece for the absurd, and maybe more intriguing that we are able to see humor in such an evil character.

    “Brown is next”.

LOL We csn only pray that is so.

I can’t restrain my curiosity as to what is actually going on in the original German movie, although I can imagine. Does anyone know the name of the original?

  7. AnAmericanMother says:

The movie is Der UntergangThe Downfall (2004). Hitler has just been told that SS General Steiner has insufficient forces and did not attack as ordered, and the Allies are closing in on Berlin.

    Here are the original subtitles:

  8. Semper Idem says:

There was a hilarious one called “Hitler rails against Pope Benedict”, but it has since disappeared from Youtube. He talks about how his plans are foiled, and how the youth are flocking to the Pope. At the very end, before he puts his head down, he says “cancel the rest of my liturgical dance lessons.”

    Classic.

  9. As the saying goes, “The proud Devil cannot endure to be mocked”. Turning evil people into instruments of mockery is highly fitting. If we are always solemn about them, it gives them undeserved dignity and a kind of power over us.

I will add that our forefathers in WWII mocked Hitler a lot!

    Suburbanbanshee,

Amen! Have you ever heard Spike Jones and his City Slickers do “Der Fuehrer’s Face”?

“The best way to drive out the devil, if he will not yield to texts of Scripture, is to jeer and flout him, for he cannot bear scorn.” — Martin Luther …. “The devil… the proud spirit.. cannot endure to be mocked.” —Thomas More
