Conjunction Junction: planetary edition

MORNING PLANETS:  Set your alarm for dawn on Wednesday morning May 11th.  Jupiter and Venus will be in conjunction, shining through the eastern twilight only half a degree apart.  It’s a spectacular way to begin the day.  Visit http://spaceweather.com for photos and more information.

“What’s your function?” <–The first thing that popped in my head, along with the catchy Schoolhouse Rock Song. Thanks for sparking that grammar refresher lesson that keeps repearing itself in my head.

Actually, I used to frequent the university's observatory as an outing growing up. I'm thinking it's time to start visiting again. This seems kinda cool.

That was fantastic. I set my alarm for an early wake up, morning prayers, observed God’s wonder in the heavens and still had some extra time to get in some iaido practice. Great start to what promises to be a great day.
