YOUR URGENT PRAYER REQUESTS

Continued from THESE.

I get many requests by email asking for prayers. Many requests are heart-achingly grave and urgent.

We should support each other in works of mercy.

As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand.

If you have some prayer requests, feel free to post them below. You have to be registered here to be able to post.

But, registered or not, please take a moment to pray for the people about whom you read here below.

Finally, I still have two serious personal petitions.

Always praying for your requests, Fr. Z., and for you and all priests for your intentions.

Please pray for a special and serious intention for our traditional Mass community this coming Tues.

  2. wanda says:

You are in my prayers, Fr. Z., as are all priests for their intentions.
I ask a prayer or 2 for myself this time. Referred to a specialist for some tests on Monday. Ugh.
Pray that no serious problems will be found. Thank you and prayers for the intentions of others here.

  3. VexillaRegis says:

Please pray for C, who died earlier this week at the age of 96. He was a catholic at heart, but never converted.

I also want to thank you all so very much for your prayers for Fr M. He’s really nice now (no big mood swings for quite a long time). Please continue to pray for him and all priests!

  4. demigh says:

Please pray for my 15 year old granddaughter Selena, who has been missing from her home in Washington state since 3pm PST yesterday (11/23/12). She is with a friend who is also missing. I am in Mexico and can help only with prayers. You have my heartfelt thanks for your prayers on our family’s behalf and that of the other missing girl.

  5. Supertradmum says:

For all the above intentions, Our Lady of Consolation, hear us. And for myself, a job and a permanent home. God Willing.

  6. lydia says:

Father I will continue to pray for your intentions as well as all here. I ask for prayers for my step son JB who has a rare form of cancer . He had a very short remission but now it is back and spread. He will have a bone marrow transplant shortly and is in need of all the prayers he can get.

  7. demigh says:

When I asked for prayers above, I neglected to say that I am praying for Father’s intentions as well as all who post here in need of prayer. Oh Lord, hear our prayers.

  8. Bea says:

Prayers for all of the above.
    especially for
    Fr. Z and all priests
    Selena and her friend.
prayers to Blessed Father Miguel Agustin Pro SJ, (Mexican Martyr) whose Feast day was yesterday
and to Our Lady of Guadalupe

Please pray also for my husband and a good outcome from his recent health issue.

  9. RDMaines says:

Please pray for my Mom, Barbara who is dying from bone cancer and in a lot of pain right now.
    Thank you.

  10. mcford1 says:

I am fervently praying for all the prayer intentions above. I also ask your prayers for my painful health problem (stones). I am grateful for the opportunity for mortification and for offering up my suffering in union with Christ’s own; nevertheless I’m ready for healing, if that is the Lord’s will.

  11. Mariana says:

I shall pray for all intentions above and below. Please, in your goodness, pray for my husband’s conversion, our family needs it!

  12. demigh says:

My granddaughter has been found safe, and is now back home with her family. Thank you for your prayers, and thanks be to God for the happy resolution. We are so blessed.

  13. amymev says:

For my brother, Casey, who is in jail facing many charges, is still addicted to drugs, and may well be the father of a preborn child whose mother is also incarcerated. Sacred Heart, call to him. Mother Mary, guide him. St. Maximilian Kolbe, intercede for him.

  14. Margaret says:

I will pray for everyone’s intentions, especially Fr. Z, and thanksgiving (!!!) that the missing granddaughter has been found. Thanks be to God!
I’m blessed to be expecting again, which I’m really pleased about. Unfortunately, as I’ve neared, and now crossed over the forty mark, the miscarriages have far outweighed the healthy deliveries. Please pray that this little one sticks around. Thank you.

  15. Chris Garton-Zavesky says:

Please pray for two former students of mine, both of whom appear to have committed suicide (about ten years apart).

Please pray for continued assistance for our family from the Infant Jesus of Prague.

    For many special intentions.

For the conversion of Mr. Obama and all the Catholics who work under his direction.

  16. VivaLaMezzo says:

    Praying for everyone’s intentions!

Please pray for my mom. She is 72 and recovering from major surgery related to the removal of a cancerous mass in her abdomen. She is also beginning to suffer from dementia. We are still praying for her conversion to the Catholic faith. Our priest will be visiting her this week. Please pray that she remembers her desire to convert and that she doesn’t have a change of heart. There are always diabolical forces at work, but it seems worse with her b/c of her daliance with the occult throughout her life.

  17. Flambeaux says:

Done. Thank you for the reminders, Father. While the spirit is willing, the flesh is weak and, thus, I forget to remember everyone as I ought without reminders.

  18. katerosemar says:

Praying rosaries for the intentions here and requesting your prayers for my personal intentions.
St. Joseph, pray for us and help us with our housing and employment situations!

  19. thefeds says:

For all these individual prayer intentions, for Fr. Z’s intentions, and for the intentions of the Holy Father, Lord graciously hear us!

  20. Dies Irae says:

I’m certainly praying for all the intentions on this list.
I ask for your prayers for some upcoming appointments this week, that I can find out what is wrong with me. I beg you especially because not being able to sort out my health situation will result in a delay in the fulfilling of what I believe is my vocation.
Also, for two of my cousins, one who is leading a immoral life and the other who is going down the same path.
    Thank you.

  21. liz says:

joining in prayer for Fr Z’s intentions and those listed above. I have a prayer request for a friend newly diagnosed w/diabetes who has sugars still running in the 300’s and 400’s despite continuing to eat correctly and take meds. The depression and other physical symptoms are scary, serious and impacting daily life and employment.

  22. Catholictothecore says:

Will pray for Fr. Z’s and all who have written in.

  23. aragonjohn7 says:

  25. mrsmontoya says:

In your charity, please pray for the repose of the soul of my father Don, ho we laid to rest yesterday.

  26. The Sicilian Woman says:

I’ve mentioned before how my sister has deeply betrayed my trust and is mishandling my father’s estate to benefit her son. Per a consultation with an attorney this week, I learned she might have done worse than I thought. Please, please pray that I get all the copies of paperwork and other documents that I need to find out the truth, and for the truth to be known. Physically, mentally and emotionally, I am a mess, as I do expect to lose the family to whom I was closest over this, though I alternately realize that no one needs family members who will take advantage of the most vulnerable among them.

I will also add all other prayer listed and those to be listed to my Rosary. Thank you all.

  27. Jack Hughes says:

will pray for all here at Mass today, could I also ask that people pray that I find a Bishop willing to give me a chance to be a Priest?

  28. Matthew P. Schneider, LC says:

Please pray for about 40 priests who will be ordained for my comunity (the Legionaries of Christ) on December 14th. A general prayer for my community would be appreciated too.

  29. OrthodoxChick says:

I think I may finally have found a parish that regularly celebrates the Traditional Latin Mass that is close enough to my house to make the Latin Mass more accessible on a more regular basis (God-Willing). I would like to offer prayers of Thanksgiving for that! I will be attending Mass there later this morning (only the second time in my life that I’ve been able to attend the TLM) and I will offer my prayers for all of your above intentions at Mass. I will also offer special prayers for Fr. Z; both for his special intentions, as well as prayers of Thanksgiving for his internet ministry, for everything he does to educate us more properly about our faith, and for bringing us all together to support each other in prayer and faith through this blog.

  30. LisaP. says:

    Liz,
My sympathy for your friend. If she is an adult, one thought, adults are sometimes misdiagnosed as type 2 when they are type 1 , I’ve seen this, and these are urgent situations. My prayers that she sees a return of her health soon.

    Prayers for all here.

  31. Lizzy says:

I’ll pray for all these intentions, and if anyone would, please pray for the conversion of my family (Graeme, Kim, Chris and Katie) and for a place on the training course I need to get a permanent job in this country.

  32. Praying for all of these serious intentions. I ask of you also prayers for mine, known to God.

  33. friarpark says:

Please pray for my wife who is having surgery on Tuesday. thanks!

  34. discipulus says:

Please pray for the conversion of all nonbelievers and fallen-away Catholics, particularly those in my family. Also pray that I may find employment.

  35. inara says:

Margaret, you especially have my prayers ~ our batting average is not the best either (.333). Please keep us posted on how things are going & may St. Margaret of Antioch, patron of expectant mothers, come to your aid. :o)

  36. wanda says:

Update. I give thanks to God and to all the pray-ers for their prayers. Nothing earth-shattering upon visiting a specialist today. Some further tests are ordered just to be on the safe side. Thank you all, again.

    Jack Hughes – Gotcha covered!

  37. cornelius74 says:

Praying for all the intentions mentioned here as well as those of Father Z.

Please pray for my wife and our three children so that they would find the way to God as I did. My great wife is from a completely agnostic background, so pray for me to be a good example for her and the kids proving that there is loving God who offers himself to anybody who opens his or her heart. Thank you.

  38. ladytatslace says:

Thank you oh almighty God for a safe delivery of our newest grandson. Thank you for the good health for his mother, our daughter.

  41. chantgirl says:

I am expecting and I have been told that my bloodwork does not look normal and that I will probably lose the baby. Thankfully, I have a very pro-life doc who is pumping me with shots and pills to try to save the baby. I have entrusted the child to a host of saints, but especially to St. Faustina. God’s will be done, and whatever is best for the child’s salvation be done. I will pray for all of your intentions.

  42. VexillaRegis says:

@chantgirl: Praying for you and your little one! May I ask how far along you are? St Margaret and Bl Clemens August von Galen, pray for changirl and her baby!

  45. ladytatslace says:

above I requested prayers of Thanksgiving for a safe delivery for our newest grandson. Now I am asking prayers for him as he has landed in the NICU with lung issues.

  46. chantgirl says:

VexillaRegis- I am about 5 weeks.

  47. amsjj1002 says:

    Prayers for Archbishop Chaput.

    From his FB page:
It’s hard to believe we’re observing the first weekend in Advent already. Prepare your hearts for the birth of our Lord! I’m also getting ready for my knee surgery on Tuesday. Tomorrow during the 6:30 Mass at the Cathedral I’ll receive the Anointing of the Sick. Please keep me in your prayers as well. May the Lord give you peace.

  48. KAS says:

I missed Mass on the first Sunday in Advent. I am pretty sure it is an excused absence because I was on my way to Mass, plenty of time, no rush, I was going under the speed limit, around 50MPH, and an elderly woman pulled out onto the main road from a parking lot, directly into my path and no way for me to stop.

I hit my brakes to try and lessen the impact. Closed my eyes just before we hit. Listened to the crunching noises of the crumple zones doing their jobs. Felt the whomp! of the airbag hitting me in the face and chest, and opened my eyes just in time to watch the airbag deflate and the smoke curl gracefully over the steering wheel.

Jumping ahead to the hospital findings: one broken rib, lots of major bruising, and a tailbone that hurts worse than everything else put together. The people in the other car are likely bruised up good too.

I am so grateful that it wasn’t worse. I’m so glad I had gone early and didn’t take the baby with me! God must have had angels on overtime, and I want you all to say prayers of blessing for those engineers who created seat belts, crumple zones and airbags! I hurt like the dickens but will heal eventually. Their work may very well have saved my life.

So I am counting my effort to get to Mass even though I didn’t get there at all.

  49. chantgirl says:

I lost the baby overnight. I thank all of you who prayed.

  50. acardnal says:

ooooh, chantgirl, I am so sorry. I will pray.

  51. VexillaRegis says:

Oh no, chantgirl, I’m so sorry too. May St Mary console you and your family. Little one is with God and praying for you.

  52. JacobWall says:

chantgirl, sorry to hear this news. I hadn’t read your request before, but I will certainly pray now. As VexillaRegis said, “Little one is with God and praying for you.”

  53. An American Mother says:

Oh, chantgirl, I am so very sorry. Been there. You have your own advocate in heaven. Prayers for your peace.

  54. wmeyer says:

chantgirl, I am so sorry. You are in my prayers.

  55. happyCatholic says:

Offering Vespers for you and your family now, chantgirl.

  56. Lucas says:

Please include in your prayers a dear friend of mine who will undergo two major spine surgeries, one this morning and then another longer one, fourteen days from now. We are hoping that since today is the feast of Saint Nicholas that the surgery will become a fruitful gift for my friend but she will have much to endure before she realizes any results from surgery. Please keep her in your daily prayers. Thank you.

  57. Supertradmum says:

chantgirl, thoughts and prayers. I, too, lost a very small one a long time ago. God is with both of you in your suffering.

  58. Supertradmum says:

For all seminarians. My home diocese just lost one, and another diocese connected to my family just lost one. It is hard on the men who are in the seminary to lose a confrère. It is harder than people think to persevere. Please pray that those who are called and in the seminaries to persevere to ordination. Some of the best leave.

  59. Catholictothecore says:

Chantgirl, so sorry. Prayers and thoughts with you. May God bring you comfort and peace. Amen.

  60. chantgirl says:

God bless you all for your kindness and prayers. I have felt the support of your prayers this week, and have not felt spiritually gutted this time as I did after my first miscarriage, but instead felt a bittersweet joy in the hope that I have two little pure hearts united with the Almighty in Heaven. As my birthday is Jan. 22, the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, I have always felt that my life was somehow bound up in the slaughter of the innocents. So, I pray that my little ones are interceding for the women who are contemplating abortion, and the poor women who have been scarred by it.
