Continued from THESE.
I get many requests by email asking for prayers. Many requests are heart-achingly grave and urgent.
We should support each other in works of mercy.
As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand.
If you have some prayer requests, feel free to post them below. You have to be registered here to be able to post.
But, registered or not, please take a moment to pray for the people about whom you read here below.
Finally, I have now three serious personal petitions. Yes, three.
I need prayers for two Catholic young girls who are experiencing severe depression and rage. Also, pray for me to find a home within six months.
For my mother, to find a job.
For the repose of the soul of a good Bishop.
For a young, newly-ordained Priest.
For me, to find and know God’s will both in the every day and the long term.
Please pray for me. I have a thyroid problem and it’s hard to get the dosage right. Pray for my good doctor too!
Your prayers for Fr. M seem to make wonders :-), so please keep praying for him and all priests.
Thank you so much and God bless you!
Thank you to everyone who has been praying for my pregnancy. There are still some issues to deal with and some question as to whether the baby has some sort of problem, but thankfully test results the other day ruled out the chromosomal problems we were most worried about. As long as the baby stays put as long as he’s supposed to, the issues he might possibly have can be dealt with and have a good prognosis.
I am very grateful for your prayers and will pray for all of the other intentions posted here as well.
Prayers for your intentions, Fr. Z! May God bless you.
I ask for prayers, once again, that our adoption process would reach a successful conclusion. We are trying to adopt a sibling group and have encountered many roadblocks and bureaucracy. Please pray that God, the Defender of widows and orphans, would remove these roadblocks and set these lonely children into our family.
Prayers for your intentions, Father, and for the intentions of all here.
A very minor issue compared to most, but we are trying to rescue two tiny Lab puppies who were found clinging helplessly to their dead mother by the side of the road in Waycross, GA. Pray that we can get them safely here, raised to weaning, and placed with a loving home.
I add my prayers for Fr. Z’s intentions to all here. I am praying for all the intentions listed here.
Prayers for all, especially you, e.e., as adoption is close to my heart. I will pray that your roadblocks are removed. It will be so worth it in the end.
For my husband, as he discerns how to respond to an immoral work environment and questionable leadership that threatens to undermine the financial sustainability of the company for which he works.
For my father, who is sick in mind, body, and spirit. May he find consolation, peace, and a return to health. May the Holy Spirit guide him to the Catholic Church and the Sacrament of Penance, where he can find the absolution his soul so very much needs.
For my aunt, who has been in excruciating back pain (she has literally been uncomfortable in any position) and is now recovering from surgery.
Pray for my children’s friend Luis, and his family. He is awaiting a kidney transplant from his dad. He needs to be strong enough to undergo the surgery. Please pray also for his father’s ongoing good health so his kidney will be ready to donate. Thanks!
You all (including those with intentions yet to be posted) will be added to my daily prayers and Rosary. (VexillaRegis: Sorry to hear about the thyroid problems! It’s amazing how many things the thyroid affects! Fellow thyroid sufferer here.)
I ask prayers for a friend’s grandmother, P., who is very close to entering eternal life, due to some medical conditions.
I shall remember your intentions at my Holy Hours, Hours of the Office and Rosaries.
For God’s will to be done on Earth as in Heaven
For intentions and priests
God bless Y’all
Please pray for my daughter who has just had major surgery and is experiencing some recovery problems.
Your intentions are always in my prayers Father Z and requests from everyone here will also be included.
Prayers for all here. May I request prayers for the reconciliation of two family members, please?
And for another relative who has an aversion to the Church, based on childhood input from family. This is strong enough that education doesn’t seem to cut through the nonsense.
Many thanks!
Prayers for all here.
I would like to request prayers for someone whose heart’s desire has been to become a religious sister for over 20 years.
Please pray for my Great Aunt who died last week. She was not a Catholic but a good woman who will be very much missed. Please also pray for her husband, who has health problems of his own to battle at this time of grief.
Prayers for you all, mamajen I will keep praying for you and your baby! May god bless you.
Please pray for my wife who is undergoing cancer surgery tomorrow morning. Pray that, if it be God’s will, the cancer is contained and easily removed, and especially for our youngest, Michael Christopher Aaron, who at 8 months old will have a tough time dealing with the changes coming into his young life. God Bless you for your spiritual generosity.
Prayer urgently needed for myself for special grace and our Lords mercy to heal my infirmity. And for my family– wife and two sons for grace and strength to help them deal with me in my illness
Lord have mercy!
For our young marriage!
Not a request, but a thanksgiving – some time ago I asked for prayer for our grandson N., born prematurely (at 27 weeks’ gestation) along with his identical twin brother P., who died in June aged 5 months. I’m so happy to say that N. celebrated his first birthday on Jan. 13 and is doing well, meeting most of his milestones on time and with no apparent disabilities. His only remaining problem is an unwillingness to eat, but he has a G-tube to nourish him and there is lots of support for my son and his wife. I am praying that he will learn to eat in time, and God has been so gracious to him in other respects that I am confident about this too. Thanks to all for your prayers! I will remember all your intentions in my own prayers.
Please remember me in your prayers. I have severe major depression, and am suffering with suicidal thoughts and actions. All help will be much appreciated!
Praying for everyone on here as well.
Thank you Fr. Z for this wonderful site. I really enjoy reading your blog.
Dear Merelin,
you have come to the right place! I have prayed for you and asked Sts Dismas and Damian to intercede for you. You are not alone, people here are amazing :)
I have a brain MRI on Thursday to check up on my tumor. Please pray for good news.
More importantly, please pray for a seminarian friend who is suffering from leukemia.
Prayer urgently needed for myself for special grace and our Lords mercy to heal my infirmity. And for my family– wife and two sons for grace and strength to help them deal with me in my illness
Lord have mercy!
Dear Merelin, you are in my prayers. In case you haven’t heard of St Dymphna, patron of nervous disorders, here’s a link:

Praying for all intentions mentioned and Father Z’s.
Thank you for praying for mine.
I have bad sciatica…please pray for me. Thank you.
Supertradmum says:
I have bad sciatica…please pray for me. Thank you.
What are you doing for it?
supertradmum: I had horrible sciatica for 2 years, hard to walk , hard to sleep. after 4 epidural injections, had surgery and got so much better and able to work and walk again.
I will pray hard for you too, it is so dispiriting. Jacob wrestled with God and had sciatica too!
Dear Fr. Z., and all readers, please pray for my dear mother who is suffering from an increasing level of emotional and mental instability. It finally lead her to walk out on my father, her husband of over 40 years. He also needs prayers!
Has anyone else noticed an increasing number of cases of mental illness in the loved ones around them?
I add my poor prayers for all your intentions.
Someone has intitiated legal action against my family that is, as best we can tell, groundless. It’s honestly at the level of “she looked at me funny.” Please pray that God’s justice will come through and the judge will see through their lies.
I’m asking for your prayers for two families, fam S and fam K, both non catholic friends of ours. They are battling eating disorders, concussion, broken legs, a chronic and very debilitating spine handicap, alcoholism and marital conflicts among other things.
Please also pray for Fr. M and all priests!
Please pray for serious family problem which has just been communicated to me.
Praying for all of you.
Please pray for K my husbands niece. She has inoperable cancer now for the 3rd time. and has reached the end of all treatments. Pray for her family as well, husband and 2 small children as they go through this final stage.
Please pray for my daughter Megan. She had unsuccessful surgery for incontinence 2 weeks ago. Tomorrow she will have surgery to try to correct the first surgery. Also, prayers for her husband’s conversion and that he will get an annulment and have their marriage blessed.
Please pray for the Boy Scouts of America as they mull over the possibility of “to consider eliminating its present policy of treating the Scouts’ requirement to be “morally straight” as barring openly homosexual boys and men from membership or leadership in the organization. ” I read the article on the “First Things” website and was made sad about such a possibility and what it could mean.
Please pray with me for our beloved Church, the Holy Father, all who defend and uphold her teachings. Let’s pray for perseverance and wisdom and charity when communicating the truth to others who do not believe.
Please pray for me as I seek ongoing personal conversion, understanding, patience and love. I lack the gift of forgiveness especially with my mother and other family members. Please pray for me to grow in that virtue as well as in humility.
I will remember all herein in my prayers. May our good and gracious Lord Jesus Christ answer each one of your needs according to his holy will.
