Alas I must leave the Legatus Summit a day early. I must be home for Sunday duties.
The people I met were wonderful, the organization and their goals are outstanding. There was a wonderful pro-life and pro-marriage and pro-freedom of religion spirit running through the whole time.
Many thanks to all involved in Legatus, especially the Chicago chapter!
A couple last views.
Safe travels Father…thanks for all the sharing. We have learned a great deal from your
experiences. One question? Who is that with Raymond Arroyo and what are those
beads around their necks…early Mardi Gras?
That is none other than Fr. Z.! I’m not sure if those are mardi gras beads, they may be ribbons with ID badges on them.
Ahhh Father
Goodbye palm trees and sunshine
Hello snowstorms and freezing weather
I’m glad you enjoyed our sunshine state.
I hope you got over your cold/flu symptoms.
Hurry back and prayers for a safe trip home.
Mardi Gras parades are in full swing in Louisiana right now. Raymond is originally from New Orleans so he may be sharing beads and the party spirit.
Thanks for sharing your travels with us, Father. Your insight is always interesting.
The birds will be happy to see you come home — they keep checking the snow covered feeder.
I thought this was in Chicago? That palm tree looks like Southern Cal!
Never mind, sorry; just saw something about Phoenix.
A little off-topic…I meant to post this Thursday but didn’t get to it. Father noted the talk by the exceptional Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli. He is the presumed Republican Nominee for the 2013 Virginia gubernatoral race. He is an honorable, faithful, inspiring, brilliant man and Virginia is incredibly blessed by his public service. Please keep him and his family in your prayers while he works as Attorney General and throughout the gubernatoral race .
mis-spelled gubernatorial not once but twice. Please forgive me.
Ahh, the second picture. Homesickness is setting in. Love love love the Valley of the Sun!
