Okay… I just had to post this.
I saw at Mystic Monk that there is now a flavored coffee (if you are into that sort of thing) called… and I am not making this up…
Snickering Monk Candy Bar.

And don’t forget the seasonal Pumpkin Spice and their now widely sough Monk Shots! They may be billed as “single serve” but some of you readers have written that they get more from each one, since they seem to have more coffee in them than other K-Cups.
Refresh your coffee supply now with Mystic Monk Coffee and help the Wyoming Carmelites build their new monastic complex!
Besides, it’s swell!
Flavored coffees are…. distasteful.
Coffee should be black, strong, and unadulterated. At least in my realm. ;)
I got the email from the Mystic Monks about this coffee last night. Coffee + Snickers bar= I am SO there!
I saw a subject line in my inbox about a candy bar….as someone who loves tea but hates coffee, you can imagine my disappointment =-p
Thanks for the pointer, Fr. Z. Ordered some for my XYL. Think I’ll sneak a cup, too – sounds too good not to try.

They have lots of tea! Check it out!
wmeyer, I would not last long in your realm! Shiver… My coffee is more like coffee flavored sweetened milk. I wish I liked it your way…much easier and less fattening! I could probably have more than one cup a day. ;)
And I love snickers bars, so I am going to have to get some. When I saw the email, I thought it was going to be an actual candy, since they do have candies sometimes. I got some chocolate covered cherries around Valentine’s day. Yummy…
And yes they have tea. The Blossoming Jasmine is my absolute favorite tea in the world! The fragrance alone is worth the purchase. Sometimes I just open the package and sniff it! I think it must be the scent of Heaven in a bag.
Their K-Cups are good. I gave away my Keurig machine because I found myself needing several K-Cups to get a full cup, and having it still come out too weak for my tastes… BUT, the Mystic Monk pods actually make proper coffee.
This latest flavor reminds me of a conversation between Father Prior and my 3 year-old son, Joseph. Joseph told Father Prior he wanted to be a “monkey monk”, to which Father Prior laughed and said, “We have a few of those!”
