Registered here or not, will you in your charity please take a moment look at the requests and to pray for the people about whom you read?
Continued from THESE.
I get many requests by email asking for prayers. Some are heart-achingly grave and urgent.
As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand. We should support each other in works of mercy.
If you have some prayer requests, feel free to post them below.
You have to be registered here to be able to post.
I still have a pressing personal petition.
ALSO… I received a note from a friend, T, who asked for prayers “to save my marriage and family”. I’d appreciate it if you good people would ask the Holy Family all to intercede.
And let’s remember all who are ill from COVID-19 and who are alone and afraid.
Please pray for my wife Catherine. She has Alzheimers. In July i moved her to an assisted living facility because i was unable to provide adequate care at home. Since March 10 she has been under quarantine. She no longer understands the phone (her birthday was at beginning of month and we tried a few calls to distant family members and friends – it just got her agitated to hear the voices without seeing the people), so she is completely isolated. the last time i saw her she was babbling incoherently. the aides say she has become more confused and her sleep is very erratic.
The Most Forgotten Soul in Purgatory…
Please pray for my dear friend, Dan Burke, who is currently in the ICU, intubated and fighting for his life. He already had severe lung issues before he caught Corona Virus. His poor wife, Stephanie, is home, alone, quarantined, because she, too, has the virus. They are separated and suffering. Please pray for a miracle–that he be healed, so that he might continue his mission to bring others closer to God. Thank you.
Please pray for my husband, Harry, who has been diagnosed with ALS. I pray for Fr Christensen and him to Venerable Arbp Fulton Sheen with the prayer Fr Z posted. Thank you. I will pray for your needs as well.
Gregg the Obscure: I pray for you and your wife continually. We will be adding your intentions to our daily family rosary.
Please pray that one of my sons returns to full health.
I will pray for everyone’s intentions.
For my cousin Ron who died yesterday. Don’t think he practiced his faith and I pray God will be merciful towards his soul. Thank you.
Please pray for a bad burn on my son Peter’s foot to heal; for a virus sufferer named Anna; for my 102 year old Grandma Florence (in lockdown/isolation);
for many conversions and healing of relationships…
Thank you!
Please pray that I receive rapid insurance authorization for a medication that treats an immunological illness. I have received this medication my entire life, but now the medicine is hung up in insurance authorizations at the very time when we immune-compromised are being labeled as at risk! Thank you for your prayers.
For all those families who now have two parents trying to telework while also having to entertain, feed, and wrangle little kids and still supervise the online learning their older kids are doing–and sometimes in small apartments with all the nearby playgrounds or places for kids to blow off steam are closed. So many parents are much busier now than they were pre-pandemic, and they’re going to need lots of graces, lest we end up with a mental health epidemic in a couple of months when everyone hits burnout.
Please pray for the health of my wife. She is an OB/GYN self-quarantining at her hospital because she is treating a pregnant patient with probable covid-19. They have already ruled out seasonal flu and several other things, but the covid test results won’t come back for at least a day or two.
Will pray for all above at Stations today.
I ask for prayers for a personal intention that is grave.
May God continue to bless us and keep us in His comfort.
Please pray for my dad, who has been laid off. My parents should be okay on money, but the unexpectedness is crazy; they were just asking him to cover more hours in the rest of the week.
I forgot to say, please pray for the soul of Archbishop Daniel Pilarczyk, once Archbishop of Cincinnati, who will be buried today in a time of isolation. He could have done better and he could have done worse, but someday we all must die.
The funeral is being livestreamed from the cathedral. Exactly ten people at the archbishop’s funeral Mass, including our current Archbishop Schnurr, his siblings, some priests, and a server. I think Bishop Binzer is concelebrating, but I can’t make out the faces. (No crystal chalice use, as far as I can tell.)
His health had been terrible for years; and he died of natural causes, not coronavirus.
Please pray a young woman, Malka S. She’s the younger sister of a friend. There’s a good chance she has the virus. Her symptoms are getting worse. She was finally tested today. She’s only 19.
