YOUR URGENT PRAYER REQUESTS

PLEASE use the sharing buttons! Thanks!

Registered here or not, will you in your charity please take a moment look at the requests and to pray for the people about whom you read?

Continued from THESE.

Let’s remember all who are ill, who will die soon, who have lost their jobs, and who are afraid.

I get many requests by email asking for prayers. Some are heart-achingly grave and urgent.

As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand. We should support each other in works of mercy.

If you have some prayer requests, feel free to post them below.

You have to be registered here to be able to post.

I ask a prayer for myself.  I’m dealing with a lot of challenges right now.

Also, please pray for T, presently deployed, who is facing serious – faith related – problems on the home front.  Great suffering.

for my wife Catherine. she is in hospice. she’s had last rites including the apostolic pardon. she’s also out of her mind.

  2. Cafea Fruor says:

There’s a particular sin with with I’m really struggling, and I seem to have made no progress against it. I’m a little discouraged and would ask for prayers for hope for the grace to keep picking myself up and trying again.

Also, I’m at a juncture in my life at which pretty much everything is changing. I need to change my job for the short term so I can be making money instead of cutting into savings, I’m trying to go back to school to change career tracks for the long term, I’ve lost almost my whole group of friends due to their moving and/or fading (mostly because so many have married, which has changed the dynamic to almost zilch contact), and lately I’ve become distanced from my family because I need space while I’ve been going through therapy to address my abusive/neglectful upbringing. Among other things. So I’m trying to accomplish so many things without much of a support system. It’s tiring, and I feel terribly alone at times, and I could really use a fill-up in my spiritual gas tank.

    Gregg the Obscure.

My earnest prayers to you. I am in the same boat. It’s a terrible boat. My wife has been fighting cancer for years, and she has been at home in hospice care for a while now. Only recently did her mind quite suddenly slip, and it has been a true nightmare ever since.

This is not an easy road. May we both walk it well.

  7. Gab says:

Please pray for Fr Timothy Finigan who recently suffered a stroke.

    Praying for all intentions!

Cafea Fruor, I recently found this helpful: Understanding your temperament(s) (as taught by the pre-VII Church) will help you understand your vices and what virtues you must develop to overcome them. Working on virtues helps your mind focus on the positive – you are strengthening yourself as part of the Church Militant. Fr Ripperger has a good video on YouTube. I am sorry for your pain. I will keep you in my prayers!

Know that God has already given you the Grace you need to overcome any evil. Really know it. Cover yourself under the mantle of the Blessed Mother. The demons are terrified of her.

Please pray for healing in my family. Pray for a safe delivery for my daughter. Pray that I can convince our Priest to learn the TLM.

  24. Liz says:

Oh dear. Prayers for all of you and the hardships you and other loved ones are suffering. I read all of these comments and will be praying for you all in our rosary and at mass today. I will pray for all those future comments and others who don’t post as well.

Please pray for Fr. James Altman, the good, holy, and feisty priest from La Crosse, WI who yesterday had his priestly faculties removed by his bishop and was told that he is no longer pastor at his parish.

I beg all of you “out there” to pray for our good priests! Please pray and sacrifice for Fr. Z, Fr. Altman, and so many others (my list of priests to pray for is seven pages long and growing.) A Friday is a good day for some good sacrifices for our dear priests who love Holy Mother Church so much. Maybe some of you can offer your hardships for them and for the Church.

I will be praying for you all.

    God bless and keep you!

  27. Semper Gumby says:

    Prayers for all intentions here.

  28. Anneliese says:

@GloriaDei What ever you do, please don’t tell your goddaughter that her suffering can help release souls from purgatory or she can offer it up for whatever cause is important to you. I have MS and I’m telling you it’s one of the lousiest diseases a person can get. All the Catholic answers and platitudes on suffering really don’t mean much when you can’t lift your foot up a millimeter to take a step. I’m not even 41 yet and I have the mobility of a 75 year old. I use a walker and it takes me three tries before I can stand up from my bed. I don’t want your goddaughter to despair but I understand what she’s going through and it isn’t easy to not lose hope. I know this world is a drop in the bucket compared to eternity but I don’t always want to be sifted or refined or purified for the sake of the kingdom.

  29. prayfatima says:

Anneliese, I understand what you mean. Certain sufferings are very difficult and often others don’t know exactly what it’s like to have your physical problems. There is a big amount of frustration in any physical suffering especially when we are younger because most people have good/decent health at that age. So there are multiple sufferings involved in what you described.

No matter what the suffering though, and some have very difficult sufferings of many different kinds, I will say that it isn’t wrong of others to suggest that we offer up our sufferings for the poor souls. The poor souls are going through a suffering that we on earth cannot understand because it is so great, and many for a very long time. They are suffering just like you are, but from what I have read and heard, their suffering is unlike anything we have experienced. By offering your sufferings up for them, it can possibly lighten your burden because you’re helping them, maybe you can ask them to in return help you. Suffering is valuable, we need to think about how valuable it is and not waste our suffering by just getting through it.

I am praying that God will heal you, if that isn’t His will, I pray that you will never lose hope and that you will offer your sufferings for the poor souls in purgatory.

I am asking for prayers for my daughter Michelle. We have just found out
that she has received a diagnoses of breast cancer. It has been caught early
so they have said that it is treatable.
    Thanking all in advance.
I have said prayers for all of the other intentions.
