    Black Queen to D6…

  2. Qd6… okay.

But I seem to me that you have to take the attack to the enemy king, in that hedged in corner.

That said… want to revise and extend?

  3. Adam Piggott says:

    Q G6-G1+
    R C1-G1
    R G7-G1+
    K H1-H2
    P F2-F1 becomes Q

A few possibilities after that but black should be okay. Interesting board. You don’t often see the possibility of three queens for one side.

  4. Neal says:

    1. …Qg1+
    2. Rxg1 Rxg1+
    3. Kh2 f1N#

  5. frdanbecker says:

    …. Q-g1 chk
    RxQ RxR chk
    K-h2. P-f1 (N) mate

  6. Adam and Neal: Thanks for chiming in.

Neal’s solution with the forcing moves and that pawn promoting to a KNIGHT results in checkmate.
