Yes, very positive experience. They accept BCBS.

    Positive experience:
My employer had required the mRNA injection, so I went to that site to find a doctor who could help me with a medical exemption. The doctor helped me with that and prescribed ivermectin for use as a prophylactic.

    Epilogue:
The medical exemption wasn’t accepted, so I had to apply for a religious exemption. That was accepted, but I had to submit to humiliating twice weekly COVID test under a stairwell where I was monitored remotely over Zoom.

If any women are reading this I believe the group One More Soul keeps a directory of doctors around the country who don’t prescribe hormonal contraceptives. It’s worth a look. Some church bulletins advertise this way too. Referrals from a friend are helpful as well.

We met our family’s pediatrician at our local FSSP parish, and it turns out she operates using MyCatholicDoctor. They take our insurance no problem. Patient portal for multiple children is slightly clunky, not as slick as MyChart used by many other major medical chains. It’s particularly nice that our pediatrician can and does consult the other physicians within MyCatholicDoctor network for specific issues (i.e. dermatologist, genetic counselors, etc.).

Good connections. I must comment about Doctors saying how to achieve or avoid pregnancy. We have had an ancient tool to avoid pregnancy for generations to give your wife a chance to recover between pregnancies. It’s called sleeping on the couch!

This is Dr. Kathleen Berchelmann, the co-founder of MyCatholicDoctor. Thank you all for your kind comments. We are 170+ faithful Catholic clinicians offering services throughout the United States, with limited services in the UK, Canada, and Mexico. We grew out of the Catholic Medical Association, with a mission to make faithful Catholic healthcare accessible and to answer the call of Jesus Christ in Luke 10:9 when He said, “Cure the sick who are there and say to them, ‘The Kingdom of God has come near to you.'” We accept most insurance plans and have low self-pay rates. We extensively use telehealth but we do offer in-person services in some locations.
