Father, I just voted for you a minute ag0, and you were in the lead in your round. :)
After your recent excellent post, suddenly, playoffs remind me of chiasmus… maybe one should nickname X ‘Chiasmus’, or, thinking of St. Andrew, ‘Crux decussata’?
This is a conundrum for me. Fr. Z. has deepened my faith, and his encouragements gotten me to confession more frequently than I might have otherwise. Fr. Schmitz on the other hand, has encouraged me to connect other, more prosaic aspects of my life with God and the Church. Both have been important to the ongoing development of my Catholic faith (which still needs much work, so please pray for me).
I would have thought there was no contest!
“No contest” for sure! In fact, “Nolo contendere!” When you look at some of the other people in the poll, sheesh!!! I know that these first polls are a kind of winnowing process, and perhaps a bit tongue in cheek (it is Eccles after all). But, Sarah… Müller… ZEN!!! Card. Zen is a giant.
