The chariot of Helios broke the plane at 6:42.
Helios will take his steeds to rest at 17:05
The Ave Maria Bell is still in its 17:30 cycle.
It is normally on 2 November the Commemoration of All Souls, that is souls who died in the friendship of God but who are undergoing that final “detailing” before they can enter in entire purity of heart and will into the presence of the Triune God.
I’m not sure what they sell here. It looks like liberal nuns and traditional priests. Go figure.

You saw the main course from yesterday. Some of my dining companions’ desserts.
Montblanc. Too sweet for me.

Fritelline di riso. I tried one. Very good.

From a distance and not good light. Pretty sure this is the Tortino caldo.

Sorbetto al limone.

And because I am now getting notes from the airline about my flight…

Yeah… this is a little different.
Proof that Prince was one of the greatest guitarists who ever existed pic.twitter.com/pipTjPHI55

Personally I don’t see what people see in Prince other than that he was a bloody flamer…
There are many better guitarists than him. Herman Li of Dragonforce and Steve Vai come to mind. Maybe Joe Satriani? Andre Olbrich of Blind Guardian?
Just sayin. Bein a flamer doesn’t make you the world’s best guitarist.
OKC Catholic Dad,
Not sure what you mean by “flamer”.
I’m not a big Prince fan. Odd fellow, More or less a Jehovah’s Witness. He actually spoke out against the homosexual lifestyle.
The fellow next to him in the video looks like Tom Petty.
@OKC Catholic Dad, Minnesotans appear to have some kind of fixation with Prince.
Flamer-flamboyant (not necessarily homosexual).
I think what’s remarkable about that video is that Prince is better known for his vocals and yet showed up for that jammy version of the song and played as well as any top guitarist. It went viral after he died a few years ago.
Oh, you people from Minnesota. But I’ll admit, he had something going for him as a performer. Surely better than the next mayor of Minneapolis.
I don’t know Italy, but a habit like shown on the shop signifies less-than-liberal in the USA
Prince was good, but Mike Campbell of the Heartbreakers is best!
The song was written by George Harrison. I think it was on the Beatles White Album, and he was one of the greatest guitarists of all time. A while ago I went to watch a Beatles cover band perform, and “Fake George” was the best guitarist. That’s why he was fake George.
There’s a backstory to that performance.

@Monstrance – that was the late Mr. Petty – who did some work with George Harrison in the latter’s later years. also the only other recognizable dude was quite clearly George Harrison’s son. (this was one of George Harrison’s best compositions IMO FWIW)
I have to say, that’s a pretty good face-melter from Prince (full disclosure: I’m a Minnesota native, to add fuel to a stereotype). For my money, though, Stevie Ray Vaughn was the best of the best. His cover of Little Wing exhibits a range in one tune that I don’t think I’ve heard in any other single recording.
Roy Clark was the best.
Prince started by doing a flawless Hendrix.
I’ll take Clapton and Stills. Treetop flyer very difficult guitar piece.
@Grabski:
The same is true for The Netherlands. Over here, liberal nuns don’t wear a habit in any shape or form. They are well underway on the road to extinction, though.
