Pres. Obama says he is a Christian. Okay. He spent a long time listening to Black Liberation Theology. I think everyone should be familiar with Black Liberation Theology. It might help you understand the President.

The President’s desire to redistribute your money is so strong that he tried to make a theological argument based on a citation of Scripture. He said:
But for me as a Christian, it also coincides with Jesus’s teaching that “for unto whom much is given, much shall be required.” It mirrors the Islamic belief that those who’ve been blessed have an obligation to use those blessings to help others, or the Jewish doctrine of moderation and consideration for others.
He quoted Luke 12:48, which is in the Lord’s followup to His parable about the faithful, vigilant servant who is ready when the master comes home. I am so glad that he did not have the temerity to quote the next line: “I am come to cast fire on the earth; and what will I, but that it be kindled?” (And speaking of Kindle…. HERE.)
POTUS wants to make this into an argument for higher taxes.
What the President seems not to have grasped is that the one doing the giving and the requiring is GOD. The context is the Second Coming of the Lord at the end of the world or our own death when we meet the Judge.

Well, he is not a Christian in any traditional sense of the word and when he was running, I posted blog after blog about his seventeen years in the Chicago “church” which radically supports the fact that the Blacks are the Chosen People of God, that Jesus is a socialist Messiah who calls for political, even violent revolt. In addition, he and his people are vehemently anti-Semitic. One can check several sites.
I am not only appalled but insulted that he claimed that his Christianity made him pro-abortion, which is on my blog Vote whoever else, please. Even a duck would make a better president.

Perhaps Obama should take a theology class before telling us that Jesus supports his policies. Nancy Pelosi could probably benefit too. I would recommend NOT at Notre Dame!
It seems to me to be as simple as whether government is requiring the redistribution of my wealth; or whether I, as an individual, am choosing to donate my wealth to those in need. In the first instance, if I ignore the requirement, I risk losing my property in a sheriff’s auction or losing my liberty in prison. In the second instance, if I ignore what is expected of me as a Christian, I risk eternal damnation. One of the problems is when the government takes so much of my wealth, it lessens how much I have available to donate charitably.
Various amazed commenters and radio hosts have said “If President Bush did this the left would screech bloody murder”, with implied wonder at the silence of the left. Of course they are silent. They know he doesn’t believe a word of it.
He’s about as much of a theologian as he is a “Constitutional Law Professor”.
That is to say, none at all. Just another lie (he was an adjunct instructor – something that alums do on the side for a small stipend or for free. I was one myself for years, nothing special about it at all.)

“Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.” That about says it all. President Obama opines that corporations are bad and rich people are evil, while he raises unbelievable millions of dollars through things like $30,000 a plate dinners. And he wants to say how money would be best “redistributed”? Please.
President Obama is doing the time-honored custom of proof texting, finding a text that seems to prove whatever point you want to make. It doesn’t take a lot of brain and I’m sure any decent speechwriter can do it.
I’m amazed at the Left’s selective appropriation of Jesus, which the Obama snippet of Luke 12 and the full chapter also demonstrates. They like the “social action” Jesus, but when it comes to the Jesus who forbade divorce, who said that “whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart,” well, you know, maybe something’s up with the translation and maybe it was a later scribal addition. Wink wink.
Not to mention the Jesus who said “you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Say, now, that’s organized religion, man. Or “go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
Above all, they selectively reject the Jesus who said “I am the bread of life,” and “THIS IS MY BODY.”
