SOMETHING BIG with a positive twist

About 100 people have sent me a note about the Bishop of Killala in Ireland being told by the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei that,  nooooo…. he really can’t prevent the implementation of Summorum Pontificum.

I posted on this a couple days ago.

It has a sort of positive title, I know.

Maybe some readers didn’t pay as much attention.

You might want to take a look!  It’s pretty interesting!

There are several other bishops around the world that need to be told this; Our bishop here could use a talkin’ to (Springfield, MA).

Thank you, Father, for drawing attention to this good news again.

    Father,

I am one of the offending 100, but I really did scroll back (I thought far enough) to see if you had covered it. I think I must have stopped just short of it because I found it myself a little later, I am embarrassed to say.

Sorry. [Think nothing of it! As we say in Latin repetita iuvant! o{]:¬) ]

Sorry for missing your previous posting. This is good news.

I visited Ireland recently and couldn’t find a TLM so I asked a man outside a big church in Dublin if he could help me. “Ah ” says he “They are are rare as hen’s pi** but try the Latin Mass Society of Ireland” Back at my hotel I found it at(http://www.latinmassireland.org/).
I was surprised to find that the man was right. A woman who over heard our conversation added “that ever since they done away with the latin mass things in this country have gone to hell” Maybe Ecclesia Dei if contacted will rush to the rescue ! Come on Ireland wake up !

FYI—–The ICKSP has just been invited to establish a new apostolate in Ireland: http://www.institute-christ-king.org/ireland/

In fact the Institute have had an apostalte here since two years ago.

  8. Tom says:

I think all of us who’ve tried to get the PCED interested in Ireland in the past were pretty surprised at this.

Last April, they told us that they couldn’t do anything for us unser SP but that they were awaiting ANOTHER document to clarify SP any time soon… Don’t ask us, we just work here.

I wonder if the PCED has FINALLY gotten its act together? Maybe someone has gotten its act together for it!

  9. William of the Old says:

Ad Multos Annos: According to the announcement, as published on the Institute’s website, they have been celebrating Masses in varying locations across the country for the past few years. Now they have been invited to establish a “……regular Irish apostolate”.
