Please use the sharing buttons! Thanks!

Registered or not, will you in your charity please take a moment look at the requests and to pray for the people about whom you read?

Continued from THESE.

I get many requests by email asking for prayers. Many requests are heart-achingly grave and urgent.

As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand. We should support each other in works of mercy.

If you have some prayer requests, feel free to post them below.

You have to be registered here to be able to post.

I still have two pressings personal petitions.  No, I actually have THREE now.  I can’t get a break, it seems.  Ut Deus….

  5. Adaquano says:

A special prayer request for my wife and I please (through the intercession of St’s Joseph and John Paul).

  6. CaliCatholicGuy says:

Please pray for my unborn child. My wife and I suffered a miscarriage at Christmas time and have been blessed to become pregnant again but it’s still very early. It wasn’t when we were actively trying but God had other plans!

Our 3 year old son prayed at school in class (he goes to a Catholic preschool) for a baby brother or sister. We are trusting Gods will be done but suffering another miscarriage would destroy my wife.

  7. Sliwka says:

My wife was due on Friday and we are doing a home birth a ways away from the midwives. Pray for a healthy delivery and for my wife’s anxiety.

I have been very lax in my devotional life. Please pray for me.

    The conversion of my wife.

  8. bibi1003 says:

Please pray for the soul of Caitlyn, a drug addict who was murdered. Also for Olivia and Tiffany, both drug addicts who are in jail, and whose families are sick with worry.

Please ask the Lord to free all addicts from the horrible trap they are caught in.

I’ve prayed for all of your intentions. God bless you all.

  9. Papabile says:

In your charity, please pray for the soul of Kate Walsh O’Beirne and her family, Jime, Phil and John.

  10. MouseTemplar says:

In thanksgiving for a 3 year long petition for employment finally granted.

That our family retains its faith in spite of the depressing, zany liturgy at our new parish, and for the young priest there.

For the initiative to improve my prayer life.

  11. @John Grammaticus: Euge! I will pray that you complete your total consecration to Our Lady. It took me a few tries before I made it through the preparation without being sidetracked by something. But when my wife and I were finally able to go through it together it brought a great peace knowing that Our Lady Seat of Wisdom would make certain use of any good that I forgot to offer, and also keep me under her mantle. May you find the same peace of soul.

Everyone: I will remember your intentions in my daily prayers. Please pray for one private intention of mine: si grave non erit. Gratias maximas!

  12. MarkJ says:

Please pray for my longtime friend Don who just entered hospice (brain cancer), and for his wife and children.

That I get the job God wants for me —soon

And I have been struggling in my faith walk, please pray there is peace in my heart and soul

  15. Cath says:

I shall remember all of your intentions during my rosary later on this morning.
For a dear friend who has been fighting cancer for quite some time. And for his wife and children.
For a friend who is suffering with mental health issues.
In thanksgiving for having a wonderful pastor. I tend to take him for granted a it, but greatly appreciate all he does for our parish- we will start construction on a perpetual adoration chapel in the very near future because of him!

  16. Mike says:

That my brother return to the Church and bring his family with him. He has not received the Sacraments since his wedding day almost 51 years ago.
In thanksgiving for my new, better job (with special thanks to St. Joseph the Worker for his intercession and protection); and for a successful outcome to my current work project.
For priests who preserve the integrity of Faith and worship against growing encroachments by political correctness in the Church and the world.

  17. DennisMoore27 says:

I’m going for a colonscopy tomorrow to rule out colon cancer. I’ve been coughing up blood for the past 3 months and we’re doing tests for that. Please pray for me.

The bloodwork has come back positively; no cancer signs there. But the colonscopy still can detect it and there are major side effects. Please pray.

  18. Phil Steinacker says:

Tomorrow morning (Thursday 4/27) after Mass (@9:15 a.m. EDT) I am meeting with a woman friend of 10 years, who for over 20 years has never felt the desire for love after the end of a 22 year marriage marked with abuse stemming from her spouse’s mental illness. She was granted an annulment so her husband could remarry if he wishes, but she herself has remained far from any desire to enter into a new relationship which could lead to marriage.

I won’t go into it here, but almost 7 years ago the Lord pointed me to her for just that outcome, despite my decided lack of interest in her that way. Fast forward to the present, much has transpired and in our meeting tomorrow we are going to clear the air about our relationship and the future.

My prayer request is this: that the outcome fulfills – in both the short and the long run – the will of our Lord for each of us, together or separately. Thy will, not mine, be done, O Lord.

  19. MrsMacD says:

For my dear husband who is going through some crazy spiritual trial.
For my baby due May 29th. The placenta is messed up and it seems that the people here don’t want to take care of us properly.
@CaliCatholicGuy; there are a couple very consoling books for mothers who have lost babies, I recommend, Letters to Gabriel : The True Story of Gabriel Michael Santorum and A Call to Deeper Love: The Family Correspondence of the Parents of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus (1864-1885) both are available on Amazon. (I’ve lost 6 of my own 6/15)
For my sister T who is demonically obssessed and maybe possessed, addicted to drugs and living in a terrible situation
For my sister F who has been stretched too thin trying to take care of everybody else as well as her family
For my sister M who is recovering from gallbladder surgery, just lost a baby and who needs to have her foundation fixed because water is pouring into her basement
For my sister R who is struggling with infertility, depression and other health issues due to a botched D&C after the birth of her 5th child
For my sister MR who is struggling with digestive problems
For my sister P who is living in an irregular situation with no prospects of improvment on the horizon
For my sister C who just moved into a house and is due any day
For my sister Z who is struggling with depression and who recently OD’d on her sleeping pills
For my Mother who recently suffered a major pulmonary embolism and is still struggling with the day to day
For my Father who has advanced COPD and is crippled with osteoarthritis
For my daughter A to go to confession regularly
    For our priests, bishops, pope

  20. MrsMacD says:

For my friend D and her daughter T who recently tried to run away.

  21. monnica says:

In response to the comment about pregnancy after miscarriage above, prayers!

NaproTechnology practitioners are able to prevent repeat miscarriage in many cases.

  22. TimG says:

    Two items;
    1. Our 18 yr old son, freshman in college, who has absolutely no clue what God wants him to do
    2. Our 14 yr old son who struggles with depression and not being an “athletic stud” like his 16 yr old brother. He’s very angry with God right now

The worldly pressures of what makes a person “valuable” today are just overwhelming. Thanks and God bless.

  23. deaconjeff says:

Please pray for the Parish of Saint Anne’s Catholic Church, Pensacola, Florida.
The Church was broken into and the Sanctuary has been heavily damaged
This happened around 3am Tuesday, 25 April.
Pastor George Sammut believes the cost of the damage is nearly $45,000.
Clean up has begun and will be completed over the next few days.
The Church will remain locked for repairs and will not be open.
A Reconsecration Mass will be held Friday, April 28th, at 6 pm.
This Mass will be Celebrated by Msgr. Flaherty, Diocesan Administrator,
as Pensacola-Tallahassee (PT) Diocese is currently without a Bishop.
The suspect, 18-year-old Nicholas Rivenbark, has been arrested.
He faces multiple felony charges; and is being held in the Escambia County Florida Jail.
Please pray for him as well.

  26. Supertradmum says:

Health and housing for me….thank you. Also, for my son, who went to a novitiate weekend with the British Province of Jesuits and told me he had the first decent discussion about philosophy and theology with peers he rarely had in the secular seminary.

  27. VexillaRegis says:

Dear Supertradmum, praying for you and your son. I just thought about you yesterday wondering how you were doing!
I’ve lost track a little – how long into his studies is your son now?

  28. Supertradmum says:

    VexillaRegis,
He is basically starting over with the Jesuits soon, having decided to stop running away from the call from God he knew about years ago….pray he can become a holy Jesuit, like John Hardon, or his namesake, Edmund Campion. Nothing is impossible with God. I am where God wants me to be….quieter, listening more, “doing” less.

  29. Supertradmum says:

Vexilla, ps thanks for the prayers.

  30. VexillaRegis says:

Supertradmum, yes there are holy and really good Jesuits, and we need more :-)!
    God bless you!

  31. Ioannes Bostoniensis says:

Please pray for my Grandfather, he is suffering from a liver ailment. He is a former firefighter, so perhaps you might ask St. Florian to intercede for him. Thank you all and God bless you

  32. andia says:

Tonight at adoration, I met a young lady who was there praying for her brother, Ben. Ben has a chromosomal abnormality that meant he was not expected to live long after birth. He is now 4.5 months and Tuesday will undergo surgery. He needs to have a feeding tube put in and a trach tube.
Please pray for Ben and his family.
