Ditto.
Likewise.
DONE.ST.ANTHONY IS MY PATRON -we go back nearly 70 years he hasn’t let me down yet!
Done.
May God Almighty mercifully grant Fr. Z’s request through the intercession of St. Anthony. Amen.
Done.
Prof. Antonio Basto
“Blessed be God in His Angels and in His Saints”
O Holy St. Anthony, gentlest of Saints, your love for God and Charity for His creatures, made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers. Encouraged by this thought, we implore you to obtain this request of FrZ’s. O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was ever full of human sympathy, whisper our petition into the ears of the sweet Infant Jesus, who loved to be folded in your arms; and the gratitude of our hearts will ever be yours. Amen.
I know he works overtime for me, but done :)
Gladly praying, Fr. Z.! He is such a powerful intercessor. Hope all goes well.
OK
Message delivered.
My privilege.
Done Father.
He has never failed me. You have my prayers!
Done Fr.
and … done.
Praying for St. Anthony to intercede for you, Father.
done
Done.
Mary Ann, that was beautiful. I will pray too!
Prayers have been offered.
Praying.
Prayers offered!
I love St. Anthony!! I will pray. I’ve taken to praying to him, not just for lost shoes and rosaries, but for family members to find there way back to the church etc. I’ve been thinking we need a child named after him, we owe him so much! I hope it all works out, Father!
Done. 2 hours since. Found it yet, Father? Maybe it’s not meant to be found …
Done. This prayer does the trick every time:
Something’s lost that must be found, good St. Anthony, bring it around.
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be…
Well, that’s the one I teach my kids and students. :-)
Done
Dear gentle and kind St. Anthony, please intercede on Fr. Z’s behalf.
One request for St. Anthony’s intercession, coming right up!
And I. He and I are great friends, he leapt into my life rather forcefully a few years ago.
Done, and done again.
Praying to Saint Anthony, Father…he always takes me to where the item was put down or dropped. He helps me quiet my mind so he can take me there….M.A. in n. IA
Agnes,
Two other versions I know:
There’s something lost that MUST be found; St. Anthony, PLEASE look around!
or
Tony, Tony, come on down; there’s something lost and MUST be found!
I saw a program about St. Anthony on EWTN. The pastor in charge of the Saint’s shrine (in Padua, I think) stated that he is sure that the Saint does not mind these requests for help with lost car keys, etc., as he sees it as an opportunity for us to focus on God’s assistance in our daily lives.
In any case, my prayers are joined to y’all’s!

Done, Father…..
Tony, Tony, come around,
Something’s lost and can’t be found!
Keep it going folks. This is BAD.
Unfailing Prayer to St. Anthony. I say it often.
O holy St. Anthony, gentlest of saints, your love for God and charity toward all God’s creatures made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers. Miracles followed your word, which you were ever ready to speak for those in trouble or need. Encouraged by this thought, I implore you to grant also my request (for the answer to Fr. Zuelsdorf’s problem). The answer to my prayer may require a miracle; even so you are the Saint of Miracles. O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was always full of human sympathy, bring my request to the Lord Jesus who appeared to you in the form of a little child, and the gratitude of my heart will always be yours. Amen.
Persevering in prayer. From the Prayer of Confidence to St Anthony…We join our prayers unto yours, O Great Saint… strengthen our faith so that we will never despair, but always have hope in God’s healing presence and power in our lives. Amen
Dear Saint Anthony, please come around, something is lost and can’t be found. Praying this evening for your need, Father.
Done, and happy to do so. I am glad you do not hesitate to give your readers a chance to prayerfully offer a return for your great work for us. St. Anthony continues to work wonders with his great love of God! Gloria tibi, Domine!
Always, Father.
Done!
At morning prayers now, your in them!
It is my privilege, Father.
With pleasure for the opportunity to be of help to you, who do so much for us.
I have worn out my welcolm with St Anthony of Padua, because of own proclivity to lose things, but straight away I implored his intercession for you to find that object back, and if it is in the possession of another, that their guardian angel may move them to return it too its rightful owner.
Isn’t the Net great? If any of us have a problem we can use it to request prayers far and wide for it to be solved.
I am sure you will inform us how things are going here Fr.
Oh I updated my profile. Just wanted to see if the changes come through.
Done … also asked all the saints to pray with me.
I’ve prayed to St. Anthony, the Guardian Angel, and, since it sounds like he might be helpful in this case, St. Dismas.
Sometimes when my stuff gets nicked I try to imagine that maybe the thief had more need of it than I did.
Of course one time my gym flip flops were stolen, and I have plantar wart facitis. I’m pretty sure he didn’t need that. Oh well….
A prayer to my guardian angel, and to St Anthony…and the Blessed Mother
Prayers……
Ecce Crucem Domini,
Fugite, partes adversae
Vicit Leo de Tribu Juda,
Radix David, Alleluia.
St. Anthony, pray for us, and help Fr. Z recover that which is lost.
Glorious Archangel St. Raphael, great prince of the heavenly court, you are illustrious for your gifts of wisdom and grace. You are a guide of those who journey by land or sea or air, consoler of the afflicted, and refuge of sinners. We beg you, assist us in all our needs and in all the sufferings of this life, as once you helped the young Tobias on his travels. Because you are the “medicine of God,” we humbly pray you to heal the many infirmities of our souls and the ills that afflict our bodies. We especially ask of you the favor to assist in the quick and happy resolution to Fr. Z’s intention and the great grace of purity to prepare us to be the temple of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
Praying.
Mother Mary, you once stood between Jesus and the Good Thief Dismas, praying for them both. As your prayers helped St. Dismas to return to God’s service, may your prayers join with ours for the return of what is needed, and the turning of hearts.
In Christ our Lord, Amen.
Request fulfilled
Done Father
O doctor optime,

O excellent Doctor,
light of the Holy Church,
blessed Anthony, lover of the Divine Law
pray for us unto the Son of God
Done-and used the prayer to St. Anthony that a couple of the other commenters have written.
Hope whatever is lost can be found, Fr. Z!
We’re glad to help you with prayers!
Continuing in prayer to St. Anthony and the Guardian Angel of the person mentioned.
Continuing in prayer …
Still praying..offered up a couple of things I didn’t really want to do today..but, in humility, I offered them up as a sacrifice..for your aid Father and for the redemption of the other person(s) involved.
I think intercession to St. Anthony results in open-mindedness, meaning that one’s inner eye sees the action which caused an object to go missing. Not only an object but a relationship, an attitude–anything which has been lost is brought back to its proper setting when one prays to Anthony. I’ve always acknowledged that if what I’ve prayed for is not found, what I’ve found in its place is the realization of God’s will for me regarding that object/person. So, St. Anthony, please restore Fr. Z’s lost treasure, grant him peace of mind and reason to give thanks.
Ecce Crucem Domini,
Fugite, partes adversae
Vicit Leo de Tribu Juda,
Radix David, Alleluia.
Popular tradition maintains that Saint Anthony gave a prayer to a poor woman who sought help against evil temptations. Pope Sixtus V, a Franciscan, had the prayer carved at the base of the obelisk, which he erected in St. Peter’s Square in Rome. Here is a translation:
Behold the Cross of the Lord!
Be gone all evil powers!
The Lion of the tribe of Judah,
The root of David has conquered! Alleluia!
Praying, Father!
Just prayed again. Good luck Father.
Done, gladly. Your emphasis on the nature of this is disturbing. I will pray again this evening, at least once, for a good outcome, and for the penitence of the perpetrator, as well as the return of what was taken.
done, with a few extras added to the prayers
Offering prayers for your intentions, Fr Z.
Faithful St. Anthony, great wonder-worker, famed for your miracles, you had the joy of receiving in your arms our blessed Lord as a little child. We ask that you intercede for us that God may grant Father Z. recovery of what was lost, as soon as possible, if it be according to His holy will. Amen.
Done again, Father. Just now had a second to post.
Praying!
I am praying!
Besides praying to St. Anthony of Lisbon, I added prayers for the robbers Guardian Angel, for the hypothesis that an item was stolen, and also to St. Longinus, asking for help in finding an item if it was lost.
Done.
Prayers sent up!
(I added one to Saint Philomena, too! I’m sure you won’t mind, Father!)
It’s St. Agatha’s Day, so let’s enlist her prayers!
St. Agatha, pray for us!
Praying for your intention , Father.
I am sorry this is not yet resolved. I shall continue to pray.
I continue to pray, for a happy outcome for you and for the other(s) involved that their hearts will be changed.
Done.
My mother always added, “Jesus, nothing is lost in thy sight.”
Done.
I had St. Anthony working overtime today… but because of my stupidity, not anyone else’s malfeasance.
My friends make fun of me for reacting to everything freakishly calmly, but I lost something really important today and I was really in a panic. I was, however, able to find it (remarkably, after a long time looking, I found it almost instantly after requesting St. Anthony’s intercession.)
Praying for your intentions today
Done. And he’s my confirmation saint as well.
But I’m not sure it’s going to work – from what you say, it sounds like someone else has got whatever it is. Does that really count as “lost”?
Done! Also added the “Curé d’Ars” to your list of helpers, Fr. Z. Maybe as your occupational patron, he may be able to find it too! :-D
A little late to this put a silent prayer has been said.
Okay. I think the time is up.
We’ll continue to hold you and your troubling situation in prayer. Is there anything else we could do for you Father?
Don’t give up Father! We will all keep your intention in our prayers.
When God closes a door, somewhere He opens a window.
I prayed for this intention yesterday and today. Still hoping it is returned to you Father.
*grounding self* (in case lightning strikes near my location)
Done. Holy Guardian Angels, guard us.
God moves in mysterious ways. God’s rejection is God’s protection. If, after earnest prayer I do not get my request – there is always a good reason. I hope this will also be the case for you.
Dear St. Anthony, for the intention of good Fr. Z, hear my prayer Amen
Of course, now my commment makes no sense, as thankfully, the offending post was deleted.
Just now saw the update! Thanks be to God!
