Thank you, Father, for these pod casts. I enjoy listening..trying to get my ears to hear the Latin and the patterns and the words. My knowledge of Latin is pretty limited. But, I try to understand some words here and there. On occasion, would it be possible to add the same prayer in English? I think it would be a great teaching tool to be able to go back and forth between the two. I know that you have tons of work, but, just occasionally? Thank you for all that you do for us, I have learned more about our Church and the Faith from your blog than I can say. God’s blessings.

I think not. Reading the office aloud, especially the older office, is quite enough once.
I’m sure it is. Methinks I should find my self a copy of your prayer book, perhaps with English alongside. Is there such a thing?..I’ll do some looking. Thank you, Father.

That is why I prefer the Divine Office in the Ordinary Form… much shorter! ;-)
However, one drawback of the Liturgy of the Hours is that an Optional Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Saturdays is only allowed in Ordinary Time :-(

Emilio III, Thank you so much for your kind response to my query. I visited the link and the books look wonderful. I was able to get a close look at some sample pages. They seem like just the ticket for someone such as myself who does not have quite the good command of Latin. I will keep that site with my favorites and check on it from time to time. Thank you, once again.
