I believe there is a word for dissenters of this sort: Protestants.
NoraLee9-amen to that!
And bravo to the Archbishop of Detroit for calling them out!
(Fr?) Raymond De Souza
I would go – to the Call to Holiness conference, except that the Diocese of Lansing has its priestly ordinations the same morning. I will be at the cathedral to support our transitional deacons as they become priests.
It is not Fr. Raymond de Souza…a strange coincidence though!
Anything with “American Catholic” in its name is trouble; I love Johnnette, and have been listening to her for many years.
Up until earlier this afternoon, the power was out at the hall where the American “Catholic” Council is to be held. It’s apparently on now, but there have also been problems with the watermain underneath the building. Please pray that many are dissauded from attending this heresy-fest, and that the Holy Spirit truly enlighten the hearts and minds of the attendees to bring them back to “obedience and orthodoxy, sanctity and sanity” as the late, great Fr. Buchanan used to pray.
Pray also for the Archbishop of Detroit and for those around him who need to deal with the questions from the press this weekend. This could be a great opportunity for some real evangelization to take place as they try to explain what’s wrong with the ACC agenda.

I like that!
could I suggest they put it on Youtube…there simply isn’t enough mainstream Catholic stuff there, and a lot of us would like to hear or see the conference speakers…
Thank you for alerting us to the good and bad in the Motor City this weekend. I enjoyed Call to Holiness many years ago and am glad that it is still there as I lost track of things through address changes. All in my prayers. Safe Journey, Fr. Z!
Father, I look forward to Monday’s blog. Prayers for you and all the attendees at the Call to Holiness Conference. TY for the Q&A on ACC.
