Dear God, so many people whose souls are twisted by hatred. I’m not angry; I’m saddened and sickened. Yes, Father, let’s pray for their peace and healing.

In 1958 there was published a book, “Child of Our Time,” by Michel del Castillo. It is the story of a small boy named Tanguy who spent some very unpleasant time in a German prison camp. His brutal treatment by fellow inmates caused him to declare to his friend Gunther that he hated them to which Gunther responded, “No, Tanguy. Don’t hate. Never hate. Hate is a sickness, a horrible disease. Because you have suffered, you must learn to understand and forgive. Leave hate to those who are too weak to love.”
Truer words do not exist; it requires superhuman strength to love, or it seems so to me since I fall very short in the love category in such circumstances.
“For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own likings” Those days have arrived!
Classy: really classy.
Tony Layne says: Dear God, so many people whose souls are twisted by hatred. I’m not angry; I’m saddened and sickened. Yes, Father, let’s pray for their peace and healing.
Right after we pray that they and all the enemies of the Church be resoundingly, crushingly and humiliatingly defeated.
Sounds like we all need to read Matthew 10.
IPadre: That verse from 2 Timothy is very appropriate as well.
We need to pray fervently for those misguided souls.
Lets ponder that for, oh, say, 2 seconds. If Mary had aborted (well, God wouldn’t have chosen her anyways), but supposing she did, we’d be in a heap of trouble far bigger than the mess we are in now.
Nope, wouldn’t want to even imagine the problems we’d have if Jesus hadn’t come, or worse…
those people don’t know love.
Mary our Mother, I love you for the pain and suffering you endure; you are a model example of humility, teach me to be more humble.
… thought there was going to be a video …
Can you imagine if a troupe of “protesters” charged into a mosque during prayers and started chanting something as blasphemous to Islam as this is to Christianity? Heck, even a YouTube video would probably get all the liberals in Congress and the White House shrieking and condemning–
Oh, wait.
I say this prayer of St. Maximilian Kolbe each day. It might be wise to pass such things on to the Immaculata…
Daily Miraculous Medal Prayer of St. Maximilian
O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to you, and for all those who do not have recourse to you, especially the enemies of Holy Church and all those recommended to you. Amen.
Amen Deo Volente
I would deceive no one, especially the all-knowing God, our Lord Jesus Christ, if I claim anything but what is truth. I agree with Miss Anita Moore on this. I pray for their humiliating and resounding defeat. If I do not have sufficient love, then God forgive me, but I can no longer pretend or muster up what I feel is misplaced compassion for such thugs and dunderheads, committing such violence against Our Lord, Our Lady, the holy place they have invaded, and the innocent faithful gathered in that holy spot, seeking solace and God, comfort and peace. My compassion is for them alone.
May God keep such “protesters” far away from me, and me from them.
quote from Fr. Z
“pray for those who will persecute us.”
I think we’re past this. We need to pray for those who ARE persecuting us.
If one member of the One True Church suffers as members of the body of Christ we are already suffering. It’s to cry for when we read such blasphemous statements as these.
Yes, we need to pray and pray often, for the time of persecution (white martyrdom) is certainly here already. May God have Mercy on us, sinners.
I do believe Our Lord will suffer blasphemies to Himself more than He will continue to allow them to His beloved Mother.
How much longer, O Lord? How frightening : (
Canada and California–passing laws to eliminate certain Church teachings. The HHS mandate fits right in.

It’s no wonder these activists think they can get away with invading a church.
Catholics assaulted in Argentina by abortion activists — the church was spray painted.

They (demonically-inspired abortion activists) are panicked and flailing about, frantically attacking God’s people and His Word. That means they are losing, and they know it.
I do believe Our Lord will suffer blasphemies to Himself more than He will continue to allow them to His beloved Mother.
Exactly what I was thinking. Any son may tolerate insults, slander or whatever abuse directed at himself but when one starts insulting a sons mother it is certain to provoke a response.
From the Liturgy of the Eastern Churches: “Remember us in thy prayers, O Lady Virgin Mother of God, that we not perish by the increase of our sins. Protect us from every evil and from grievous woes, for in Thee do we hope, and venerating the Feast of Thy Protection, we magnify Thee.” May she watch over all her children, even those who would seek to offend her.
That’s trespassing. Just have them ejected and then file a complaint.
The parish must be doing something right to garner such attention. If you’re not taking flack, you’re not over the target.
Nonsense was “emerdement”, rhyming with abortant . If you have heard a Frenchman say “merde” you know what that means. Fr. Jim, I think there is a video of this somewhere on line.
There are moments when I wish we could act like some Muslims and scare people out of saying things like this. But I know that is not the right path to take.
