Awful. Can’t imagine. I hadn’t heard about this elsewhere.
Offering up the sufferings of this day for him and his family, especially illness and asthma.
A whole little family, dead just like that. God be good to them!
Lord, please comfort the Bergoglios, and please keep the Pope strong.
La Razon in Argentina says that Mr. Bergoglio is in Hospital Pasteur de Villa María. Broken right humerus, messed up chest, and messed up kidneys and spleen. He’s going to need surgery. They said he’d been unconscious since the accident.
How terrible! Requiescant in pace!
Prayers ascending for the whole situation.
Pope’s nephew, Emanuel is under induced comma, he has undergone surgery and Doctors say they’ll know in 48 hs what the next step will be. Last I heard, he is not aware of his family loss. His sister in law, twin to the deceased wife, who happens to be a nun, flew with the remains of the family back to Buenos Aires where a Mass and funeral services shall be held for the family. Both 39 yo Dr. Bergoglio (a psiquatrist who worked for the Buenos Aires Metropolitan police) and his wife, who workerd for the same institution, had been visiting family in the province of Cordoba.
