They don’t even try to hide it anymore: demonic ceremony for opening of new tunnel

From, from St. Paul to the Romans

Who then shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation? Or distress? Or famine? Or nakedness? Or danger? Or persecution? Or the sword? (As it is written: For thy sake, we are put to death all the day long. We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.) But in all these things we overcome, because of him that hath loved us. For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor might, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.[Rom 8:35-39]

In some cities demonic statues are being erected.   There’s no other way around it: they are demonic.  Remember “Hell Dog” in London?  And didn’t or don’t some cities have plans to set up replicas of the Temple of Baal which ISIS destroyed in Palmyra?

I received a link to a story about the opening ceremony of the huge new Gotthard Base tunnel in Switzerland.   It’s weird.  It’s creepy.  And not in a good way.

Here is a video:

The story with photos is HERE.

And the “goat man” thing isn’t just about there being mountain goats in, you know, the mountains.  It is about the Devil.  As we read:

The ceremony appears to draw inspiration from local folk tales, specifically the legend about The Devil’s bridge, which goes through Gotthard Pass.

The legend of this particular bridge states that the Reuss was so difficult to ford that a Swissherds man wished the devil would make a bridge. The Devil appeared, but required that the soul of the first to cross would be given to him. The mountaineer agreed, but drove a goat across ahead of him, fooling his adversary. Angered by this sham, the devil fetched a rock with the intention of smashing the bridge, but an old woman drew a cross on the rock so the devil could not lift it anymore. The rock is still there and, in 1977, 300,000 Swiss francs were spent to move the 220 ton rock by 127 m in order to make room for the new Gotthard road tunnel.

While the devil lost in the legend, he appears to have won in the tunnel’s opening ceremony.

They don’t even try to hide it anymore.

I am reminded of a disturbing scene on Michael O’Brien’s theo-scifi novel Voyage To Alpha Centauri.   (UK LINK HERE)  I wrote about it HERE.  Some people have a ceremony in honor of the hideous stuff they find on the planet.  From a charater’s journal (in the book):

Day 369: Green Day again. A year has passed since the previous exercise in elevating our cosmic sensitivities, or “interplanetary bio-consciousness” as it is called officially. There are few people onboard the Kosmos at present, so the green banners, scarves, and neckties were scarce here. Down on the planet, however, festivities were in full swing. On the panorama screen, I watched a few celebrations at various stations, dominated by an incompatible mixture of ecological cant and jargon and an any-excuse-for-a-party attitude, seasoned with mystical music. One particularly nauseating performance occurred in the temple itself. There, accompanied by the piped-in music of flutes and drums, a bevy of maidens danced around the black altar cube. They were dressed in diaphanous green gowns that left nothing to the imagination. Somewhat frenzied, nearly erotic, and definitely euphoric, the ten young women twirled and pranced and sang in praise of a cosmic “lord” who held fire in one hand and arrows in the other. Their choreography resembled a coil, winding and unwinding hypnotically as they chanted. At the head of the dance, leading it all, was the old Russian psychiatrist lady who had been so offended by me looking at her scar years ago. She was now without doubt far into her eighties, which was unfortunate, since her gown was the flimsiest of all, nearly transparent. With flailing arms, she repeatedly let fly full-throated cries rising from her arching abdomen, a crone-nymph on hallucinogens. As the event progressed, a soft, male voice-over informed the viewers of our need to reconnect to primitive “spirituality”, which entailed, apparently, a “rediscovery of the phallic” (thankfully not acted upon, at least not on screen, as far as I know, which isn’t saying much) and a “reintegration of light side and shadow side” for the sake of universal harmony. (Ay, caramba! I turned it off and went for a long walk.)

Blech.

Meanwhile, Church Militant reports:

Parishioners in the Italian parish of St. Anthony in Ventimiglia, a small town in northwestern Italy about four miles from the border of France, were ordered Saturday by a Catholic aid organization volunteer to pray the Rosary silently so the Muslim migrants living in the church would not be offended.

More HERE.

In response to the instruction to keep their voices down, one of the female parishioners who had been reciting the rosary asked if the migrants couldn’t be taken to another church. That way, she could continue to pray in peace in her own church.

At that point Don Rito, the parish priest, appeared and proceeded to escort her and other church visitors to another church, according to a report in Breitbart.

In response to news reports of the silencing of Christians in their own church, people took to social media to share their objections. “They [Muslims] can take over the streets, parks, and public places to pray five times a day, but Christians can’t pray vocally, in their own church?” wrote one person. “Hypocrisy!”

Friends, we need serious weaponry now.

More people need to fast and to pray the Rosary for specific intentions, such as the conversion of specific leaders in the Church and an increase of priestly vocations.

We need to get our altars turned about again for ad orientem worship.

We need an increase in celebrations of the TLM in more places.

A storm is building.

Seeing the “goat-man” picture a couple of days ago was horrifying. It was so blatant as you say, Father. I can’t imagine seeing all of this happening to our country, our world, and not having people such as you, Father, to remind us that we are not alone. Thank you for encouraging us and reminding us of all that we must do spiritually. God bless you and all of us!

One version of the tunnel opening video that I saw was narrated by three shocked Evangelicals. They were watching the video and narrating the audio for a radio broadcast or podcast where listeners would not be seeing the footage. So they went into some detail for the listeners about what they were viewing. The link below includes the video and their comments.

See it here on YouTube (It’s around 15 minutes long):

  3. VexillaRegis says:

I didn’t watch the video, as I don’t want to have that sort of things in my memory. When you build tunnels you make St Barbara the patroness. Basta! Frankly, until a priest has made a public exorcism of the SAINT Gotthard tunnel, no one should travel through it!

  4. JabbaPapa says:

    VexillaRegis :

When you build tunnels you make St Barbara the patroness

There is in fact a shrine to Saint Barbara just inside the entrance to that tunnel.

I live not too far, and right now the Heavens seem to be tearing themselves apart with the strangest thunder I’ve ever heard.

    The video is obscene.

  5. Suburbanbanshee says:

First off, the creepy guy is an ibex man. Doesn’t make it better, of course. And the whole thing was blasphemous and nasty, right down to the sickening excuse for a memorial tribute to the workers who died during construction.

Second, it is St. Gotthard Pass, and the tunnel does have a permanent St. Barbara shrine, and the actual tunnel was blessed by a Catholic priest and other clergy, before this stupid dance spectacle started. (I don’t think it was done anywhere near this stupid opening ceremony thing.)

Third, the Temple of Bel (Mesopotamian god, not Phoenician/Canaanite god) in Palmyra was turned into a Catholic church many centuries ago, and then was a mosque, and then was a museum. People also built houses inside it at one point. I don’t know what the entrance arch would symbolize, other than “civilized people don’t blow stuff up for creepy reasons.”

Fourth, Verdi wrote Aida for the opening of the Suez Canal, and Dame Barbara Cartland wrote a romance novel set during those ceremonies, using some ancestral papers and diaries. The festivities were sometimes silly, but mostly grand and beautiful. They knew how to celebrate engineering feats back then.

  6. Vincent says:

    Umm, Father….

You forgot “GO TO CONFESSION”… (I definitely need to, and I’m not even going to look at something like that).

As they say in t’North of England, “there’s sommat brewin’ and it ain’t a pot of tea…” (I’ve never heard anyone say that in reality). No doubt the forces of the enemy have it wrapped up, but that’s a cause for Hope, because when things get really bad, that’s when we know relief will be at hand.

That’s a lot more positive than I feel, but at least the rise of the TLM is still ongoing, so the fight back has begun and hasn’t stalled!

  7. JesusFreak84 says:

Huh???? o_O My brain does not want to accept this data as accurate, but I know it is.

  8. Scott Woltze says:

You’ve got to have wary respect for demons. No matter how many times they get vanquished back to hell, they keep coming back. I mean, how many times has Beezelbub been exorcised over the millenia? You also have to respect an opponent who has knocked us down repeatedly (with our own help of course).

  9. Adeodataomnia says:

One report says that the tunnel had indeed been blessed with Holy Water by some kind of Christian Priest. Whether he was Catholic, I do not know.

Still, the ceremony was quite disconcerting. At the very least, it reminds me of the pagan mystery cults of old.

  10. NBW says:

I don’t want to watch the video as well. I did read about it a few days ago and there were photos…very very strange and very Satanic. Europe is going back to its pagan origins. Prayers for Europe.

  11. Venerator Sti Lot says:

I had been reading about St. Gotthard and why the pass and tunnel were named after him, before his feast on the fourth, last month (Donald Attwater writes that they take their name from the Bishop of Hildesheim “in whose honour the neighbouring hospice for travellers and its chapel were dedicated”). I’m not sure I want to try to watch any of this, but I don’t get them impression that any honor done, or due, to him gets any attention. I’ve encountered different people (including Austin Ruse) noting a connection with krampus/the krampuses, who figure in the celebration of the festivities of St. Nicholas in December in various European countries, including a comment by someone about the absence of St. Nicholas in this use of him/them (if that’s what it is) – something which already seems to be a nasty development of recent ‘celebrations’: not the bestial, or demonic, subdued, enchained, but given free rein.

  12. albizzi says:

Dear Father, as Venerator recalls it, the name of the tunnel and that of the pass is Saint Gothard, not “Gotthard”, or in italian San Gottardo.
Saint Gothard of Hildesheim was a bavarian monk, later a bishop, who was canonized by the Pope Innocent II in 1131. I didnt find any historical infos but only in the french wikipedia site: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gothard_de_Hildesheim
Those who were offended by the demonic show of the inauguration ceremony must know that at least two attendants, Mrs Merkel and Mr Hollande, president of France are freemasons.
We have to pray much for their conversion.
Saint Gothard, pray for us! Saint Gothard priez pour nous! San Gottardo prega per noi !

  13. Kathleen10 says:

Obviously pagan and demonic. I saw it a few days ago and was even more shocked to be told the leaders of France, Italy, and Germany were right there, attending Pagan Put-on. Hollande, Merckel, and I cannot the leader of Italy, but he was there as well. Apparently the real miners had a ceremony dedicating the tunnel to St. Barbara at some point, I don’t think on this day.
The massive influx of Muslims to Europe and the suppression of Christianity makes more sense now.

  14. Atra Dicenda, Rubra Agenda says:

Well, I saw Baphomet (the topless, breasted, winged giant head) killing zombie slave workers, the surviving workers later stripping to their underwear, other goat headed men entrapping souls, a procession of virgins in white carrying goat heads, a satire of a Christian bishop waving like a moron from an old car, men and women in formal attire with goat skulls & pagan headdresses, and and people adoring/worshipping Kronos in the full video.

Considering the tunnel opened on June 1st and June 2nd is when Saturn/Kronos is in opposition and at its brightest view from earth the astrology/occult interpretatino of this ritualism seems pretty spot on.

    Sigh

  15. Neal says:

To be honest, I always just kind of assumed that satanic liturgical dancers would be kind of cool, but nope, still ridiculous.

  16. Maltese says:

I saw this on “Jason A” ‘s YouTube channel days ago. I don’t know how you can comport it with the fact that Switzerland is still technically a Catholic country. Ora pro nobis, those at Écône.

  17. Semper Gumby says:

Voyage to Alpha Centauri is a great novel, well worth the read.

About the plans for the Temple of Baal replica in London and New York: the Institute for Digital Archaeology, according to their website, has switched to replicating the Palmyra Triumphal Arch instead. After using 3-D technology to replicate it, the Arch is displayed now in London, arrives in New York in September, and will be permanently displayed in Dubai.

The silencing of the Rosary at St. Anthony in Italy is an egregious example of Dhimmitude. Meanwhile, a few miles away in the French Riviera numerous news outlets are reporting that a waitress of Tunisian-descent was verbally and physically assaulted by two men for serving alcohol on June 6- the first day of Ramadan.

Also on June 6 in Lancaster, California according to a local CBS station, a small group of Satanists used GPS to “outline” a pentagram around the town. This group then presented “The Seven Tenets” of Satanism at City Hall. The CBS report adds that there is a YouTube video of Christians confronting the Satanists.

Fr. Z wrote: “They don’t even try to hide it anymore.” Yep, it seems that these people are taking it to another level.

The ceremony at Gotthard Tunnel was diabolical. There was much more going on there than the antics of “Krampus” who punishes naughty children.

The trend of diabolic lunacy seems to be slowly yet steadily increasing. There is, for example, a minor effort to revive both the worship of Baal and Canaanite religion in general. One author, Tess Dawson, has written two books: “Natib Qadish: Modern Canaanite Religion” and “The Horned Altar: Rediscovering and Rekindling Canaanite Magic.” Modern Canaanites can delve into Asherah poles, spells, golems, and how the Bible is unfair to Baal and Moloch.

While we’re at it, here’s a couple more “Reconstruction” movements, or Recons. Each movement has already splintered numerous times.

-Kemetism (from K-M-T, a word for ancient Egypt) is a small movement to revive the gods, goddesses, and magical rites of ancient Egypt. Sub-groups include Kemetic Orthodoxy and Neo-Atenism. Some Wiccans borrow texts, spells, and rituals from Kemetism.

-Heathenism or Germanic neopaganism. This small movement has a number of labels. Sub-groups include Odinism, Theodism (a North American variant), and Asatru. On Feb. 2, 2015, the Telegraph ran an article headlined: “Iceland to build first temple to Norse gods in 1000 years.” One popular book among the Heathens is Garman Lord’s “The Way of the Heathen: A Handbook of Greater Theodism.” Notably, there was dissension amongst the Heathen sub-group Ring of Troth due to some of its leaders having dealings with the Satanic Temple of Set.

This Gotthard Tunnel ceremony encourages those people who spend their time performing Goetic rites from grimoires such as the Lesser Key of Solomon, and watching the occult films of Kenneth Anger. These people should not be encouraged.

Then there’s this. The Satanist Michael Rose wrote a book titled “Infernalia.” On pg. 30 he wrote that homilies on forgiveness were “disgusting.” On pg. 103 this: “…if a Lamb of God gets out of line make roasted lamb chops.”

There are many good articles on the resurgence of the occult. One is “How is our Culture Contributing to the Rise in Satanic and Occult Activities?” by Susan Wills at Aleteia Oct. 1 2014. If I recall, the author Michael O’Brien, Msgr. Pope and Fr. Rutler have addressed this well. Bishop Montrose has a letter on Spiritual Warfare at the EWTN site. At CNA David Ramos has an article “Exorcist Weighs In on Vampire Murder.”

    ____
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin and destruction of souls.

  18. JabbaPapa says:

The whole thing is a Masonic ceremony — and shows exactly why Freemasons cannot be Catholic.

  19. tealady24 says:

Just some more sickness. I’m wondering if this is going on in public what goes on behind closed doors! Another country I’ve just crossed off my list. And as far as the church with its praying parishioners there’s one very easy solution. NO MORE MONEY FOR YOU!

  20. Charliebird says:

Thank you Father for calling our attention to this. I was not sure it would spread to a wider audience. I have discussed this in a new article on my blog, if you don’t mind the plug: http://vox-consolatoris.blogspot.com/2016/06/were-all-seeing-it-now-hes-here.html
I agree, a storm is brewing, and it will be nasty. The mask is off…it is quite absurd at this point.

  21. PA mom says:

    Ad orientum-

Aleteia has a daily poll today regarding ad orientum worship. It is their third article on Cardinal Sarah’s recent directive (that I have noticed).

As I took the poll I was encouraged that over 80 % had experienced ad orientum worship and were positive towards it! It was only in the hundreds, but maybe with Fr Z’s readership, it could go far higher.

Maybe this is the grass roots uprising we need.

  22. Sri_Sriracha says:

I watched this yesterday and was utterly astonished that this was an official, state sponsored ceremony celebrating the opening of a train tunnel. I had the same exact thought, “They don’t even try to hide it anymore.” You can see the entire raw footage here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4NU0Tok1T4 The first part of the ceremony starts at 1:58:30, and the concluding rites start at 5:58:00.

Last night I had disturbing dreams of a world fallen into disorder and trying to survive within it. I awoke with a feeling of palpable dread, a sense of evil in the darkness of my room. I thought I should pray the rosary, but as I had forgotten to set mine at the bedside, I had to make do using my fingers to count the prayers. I drifted in and out of sleep, resuming my rosary prayers until morning.

  23. KAS says:

My husband refuses to believe this isn’t a fabrication designed to make religious and conservatives look foolish.

Is there some news source that covered this?

  24. Sri_Sriracha says:

KAS, click on the link in my post just above yours. It has the entire 6 hour live footage of the event, including interviews with heads of state, speeches, crowd shots, etc.

  25. Venerator Sti Lot says:

As to Ventimiglia, presumably this is the St. Anthony of Padua Church, there – which led me to reread part of Niccolò Dal-Gal’s 19o7 Catholic Encyclopedia article, “St. Anthony of Padua”:

In the year 1220, having seen conveyed into the Church of Santa Croce the bodies of the first Franciscan martyrs, who had suffered death at Morocco, 16 January of the same year, he too was inflamed with the desire of martyrdom, and resolved to become a Friar Minor, that he might preach the Faith to the Saracens and suffer for Christ’s sake. Having confided his intention to some of the brethren of the convent of Olivares (near Cóimbra), who came to beg alms at the Abbey of the Canons Regular, he received from their hands the Franciscan habit in the same Convent of Santa Croce. Thus Ferdinand left the Canons Regular of St. Augustine to join the Order of Friars Minor, taking at the same time the new name of Anthony, a name which later on the Convent of Olivares also adopted.

  26. YoungLatinMassGuy says:

Why are you all surprised? You push out God, and Satan will fill up the vacuum.

People have a deep need for ritual, for things they can cling to in times of hardship. With the fall of the Latin Mass, people across the globe lost their rituals, they were replaced with cheap imitations (think liturgical dances…), home cooked recipes, passed down through generations, were replaced with processed fast food. Why shouldn’t the enemy step up to the plate and give people something like this monstrosity to use?

  27. Fr. Reader says:

Michael O’Brien is a very dangerous author. Few months ago I read Island of the World, that 800+ pages thing. I just could not stop reading, and I lacked a lot of sleep that month. The book made a deep impression in me and I was not able to read any other novel for a while, because I was still ruminating that one. Voyage to Alpha Centauri is now in my to-read list. Thanks.
