Prayer Request – Thomas Peters

UPDATE 18 July:

Thomas let me know that they are praying in a special way to Sts. Louis and Zélie Martin, the parents of St. Saint Thérèse of Lisieux.

So, those two are already canonized (2015).  I was thinking that they might be asking a Venerable or Blessed whose cause still lacks a miracle.

Thomas Peters, son of the distinguished canonist Ed Peters, who also has his own online presence, has his birthday today.

Moreover, yesterday was the anniversary of the accident that put Thomas in a wheelchair with serious damage to his spinal-cord.

Thomas is doing well, but, in your charity you might say a prayer for him and even ask God for a miraculous healing.  It may be that the family has a particular Venerable or Blessed to whom they raise their requests for intercession.  I suspect that, if they do, I’ll be able to post it soon.

Ask for miracles.

I will certainly add Thomas and his wife to my prayer list. The way they are trusting God and waiting on his healing is an inspiration!

  2. Mossen Sensat says:

Ven. Antonio Margil de Jesus could use a bit of a push to his cause. I have all but moral certainty he’s in heaven, as he has already granted petitions for me through his intercession. I would highly recommend him.

  3. Michael says:

    Blessed Pope Pius IX

Blessed Mary of Providence (Eugenie Smet)

Just to name two Blessed who are in need of a miracle. May they intercede for Thomas and his family, through Jesus Christ, Our Lord.

  4. SanSan says:

Asking for the intercession of Cora Evans, Servant of God for complete healing of Thomas Peters. Amen.

  5. EVERYONE: Remember what I asked them. If there was a particular Venerable or Blessed to whom they were praying for a miracle.
Why “a particular”, as in ONE?
If everyone out there is praying to whomever, each one a different intercessor, there is no way to authenticate that a miracle was granted by God through the intercession of a particular servant of God.

    Get it?

    I’m just saying.

That said… if they are praying to an already canonized couple, hey! That’s fine by me!

  6. danhorse says:

Bl. Karl of Austria. I know, from personal experience, that he is most generous.

  7. oldCatholigirl says:

I thought Fr. Felix Capello was their intercessor of choice. I’ve been praying to him for Tom Peters (& thanking him, too) ever since the accident.
