YOUR URGENT PRAYER REQUESTS

Please use the sharing buttons! Thanks!

Registered or not, will you in your charity please take a moment look at the requests and to pray for the people about whom you read?

Continued from THESE.

I get many requests by email asking for prayers. Many requests are heart-achingly grave and urgent.

As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand. We should support each other in works of mercy.

If you have some prayer requests, feel free to post them below.

You have to be registered here to be able to post.

I still have three pressings personal petitions.

As I write today, one of them is… very heavy indeed, a strong sense of loss and near betrayal.

The moderation queue is ON… for ALL posts.

  1. Atra Dicenda, Rubra Agenda says:

After 4 years of undergraduate studies, 4 years of medical school, 5 years of surgical residency, and an additional 1 year of surgical fellowship (woof…14 years of preparation), I have my oral board examination to be boarded in my surgical subspecialty. The exam is afternoon of Sunday April 15th. I will hopefully be attending EF Mass at St. John Cantius that morning!

I ask for prayers for clarity of thought, quick recall of information, and articulate discussion of the cases for which I will be evaluated during my oral board examination.

Saints Cosmas & Damian, Saint Luke, Saint Blaise, Saint Thomas Aquinas, Saint Peter Canisius, St. Joseph Cupertino, St. Joseph Moscatti, all you holy saints and doctors, pray for me.

  2. yatzer says:

Prayer for all intentions, of course including the brave Fr. Z’s. Please pray for a way to approach my husband’s developing mental/emotional problems that have become noticeable now even to our grown children who live on their own. He doesn’t see it, which compounds the problem.

  3. jameeka says:

Please pray for a good outcome to one pressing ( as of this coming week) personal petition, thank you very much.

  4. John Grammaticus says:

employment…. feeling very down at the moment. Please pray to St Joseph for me

  5. scrchristensen says:

I am a 28 years old, married for 5y, and have children 3y, 2y, and 6mo. I was diagnosed with a non-Hodgkins Lymphoma this past week. The prognosis is good, but there are some variables (a primary immune deficiency) that will make chemotherapy a bit complicated. I will have a PET scan next week to determine if it has spread; chemo will begin the following week. Please pray both for me but also for my family!

  6. Eugene says:

Please pray for my daughter in law who thought she was pregnant after a long time but may now be miscarriaging.. I pray that God will have her bring this baby to life,

  7. Elizabeth R says:

For Julie, who is 18 weeks pregnant and has lost all her amniotic fluid. This puts the baby in serious danger unless the doctors can determine the cause and treat it.

  8. APX says:

The “city” (its pop. Is 6000, but is classified as a city) I was born in and my family is from experienced a tragedy. There was a junior hockey team traveling for a game that was t-boned by a semi. 14 of them died and another 15 are in hospital. Parents and players still don’t know exactly who survived and who was killed. Then there’s all the first responders and doctors, nurses, etc who have to deal with this trauma.

  9. Malta says:

I’m investigating a satanic cult involving the ritualistic abuse of children. I am of course in contact with law enforcement – but I have a very specific skill set after Years with the FBI and training with the CIA. I felt like I could take this on by myself – I was wrong. I’ve had things thrown off my desk at me, lights turning on and off on their own; super bizzair stuff; it’s almost like these demons are after me. I guess I would ask for prayers for the kids involved in this cult – they are into self-mutilation and worship death.

  10. APX says:

I stand corrected regarding my other post. The death toll is now 15.

  11. Malta says:

I have 5 kids of my own and it’s breaking my heart seeing what’s happening to these kids – it’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen a lot.

  12. Kathleen10 says:

Oh, in your kindness, would you please pray for my husband Frank, who we just found out may have Myeloma. His PET scan is Monday, his bone biopsy is Tuesday. We are asking St. Padre Pio to help, as we just visited his relics, but we’ll take help from any saint most gratefully.
Please God, help all here, and Fr. Z., who is a good friend to us all.

  13. Nan says:

    Don’t forget St Pantaleimon.

  14. e.e. says:

Please pray for David, who is now incarcerated for a 5 year term. He truly wants to follow God — and follow the law! — but has had a serious mental illness since childhood. He has struggled for so many years. Please pray that the prison will provide him with effective mental health treatment, and that he would be able to overcome his illness. Please join me, too, in asking for St. Dymphna’s intercession for him.

  15. jaykay says:

Have prayed for your intentions, Father, and all here.

Yatzer: similar problem in my family, mental health and all that. I join with you in prayer for those afflicted with mental health problems. God bless. J.

  16. maternalView says:

I will remember Fr. Z and all those who read his blog in prayer

  17. TonyO says:

I am praying for all of you above. Please add two of my daughters, who may have a serious digestive tract disease – we will find out more in the next week or two.

  18. stephen c says:

I will pray, and offer up sacrifices for, everybody who has commented here tonight, and also for everybody who has read this thread and thought, reflecting on it a little, that they too have gone through suffering like the suffering described by the people who commented here, and who would also naturally like people to pray for them. God loves us all. Please pray for Michael and Dianna – I doubt they need your prayers but if they do, it was kind of you to pray for them – and if they don’t (if they don’t need your prayers) — as God is my witness nothing would make me happier than knowing they did not need our prayers any longer. And nothing would make me happier than knowing that every time I pray, here in this difficult world, they pray along with me, in their more paradisical world. God loves us all, it is really simple.

  19. Marion Ancilla Mariae II says:

Praying to Our Lady for your intentions, Fr. Z. Sorry you have to go through this. May she enfold you and the affairs closest to your heart in her heavenly mantle.

  20. frjimt says:

For priests wrongly accused, esp fr Gordon MacRae, these stone walls & for victims of abuse & their families

  21. GrumpyYoungMan says:

I’ll include all the intentions from this thread into my prayers.

  22. beelady says:

Please pray for my husband, Patrick. He has been unable to work for 13 months due to a serious heart problem.
I have requested prayers for him from this blog previously. Thank you for your help!
I am certain that your prayers have been a factor in his recovery.
This Tuesday, April 10th, we will find out if his new medication is working and if he can be cleared to go back to work.
Please pray for him and for wisdom for his doctors.
    Thank you

  23. Semper Gumby says:

    Prayers for the intentions here.

  24. Malta says:

frjimt: the two worst things in the world are 1) abusing a child, and 2) being falsely accused of abusing a child. To me they are both worse than murder. As a former prosecutor, murder is usually a crime of passion, fueled by alcohol or drugs. Bur the first two are crimes against a child in the first instance, and a crime against a person’s soul in the second. They are both crimes against a person’s soul, but the second is worst (and I have four daughters, so I don’t like pedophiles in the least) because you are taking a man’s life and dedication to the Church by taking his innocence and life-long dedication to God.

  25. Sid Cundiff in NC says:

That the new translation of the Liturgy of the Hours (LOTH) be expedited and faithful to the Latin editio typica, and that more Catholics pray daily the LOTH.

  26. Sandy says:

Asking Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, and all the saints and angels to help all of you and Father Z. Please pray for the repose of the soul of my mother who died a few weeks ago.

  27. Gregg the Obscure says:

That I may provide my wife with the care she needs as her Alzheimer’s disease worsens.

  28. JohnE says:

Praying for peace of heart and mind for those in stressful and sorrowful situations. I’d like to share this excerpt from Magnificat, Adoration Vigil on Holy Thursday:

Original sin came because our first parents trusted their imagination of God over the reality of the gift of the beautiful garden around them. Salvation comes because that man who seems to be praying all alone is affirming the merciful love of God the Father even in the midst of the most harrowing circumstances. Reality belongs to the Father. In the end, all this suffering and death will belong to the glory of the Father shining forth in the victory of his Son.

  29. SKAY says:

Father Z’s intentions and all who posted here will be in my prayers.

  30. VexillaRegis says:

Please pray for me and my family, four pressing intentions. For a family who lost their family business in a fire. For my parish, that we may have a new and good pastor. For the Church, that we may have faithful and orthodox leaders on all levels. For all children in the World.
    For Fr Z’s intentions :-)

I will pray for all of your intentions on here!
