Happy Name Day Holy Father!
In this rapid PODCAzT, we will drill into a beautiful Gregorian chant hymn to St. Joseph in the Liturgia Horarum, the Liturgy of the Hours.
The hymn is Te, Ioseph celebrent and it is in the Liber Hymnarius for 1st and 2nd Vespers for the Feast of St. Joseph.
Also we listen to an indulgenced prayer written by Pope Leo XIII, Ad Te Ioseph.
Finally, we hear St. Bernardine of Siena (+1444) preach on our Patron of the Universal Church who is Patron of the dying.

Alas, the LH is copyrighted, so no online version :(. However, many of the hymns exist in other books which are out of copyright, so it might be possible to put together an online book of free material. If I had a copy of the LH, I could check the musicological online resources to find free copies. I do not own such a copy, but if someone wants to post the index of songs, I could get to work. See, this could be a community effort for the New (Old) Evangelization.

I like the hymn “Caelitum Ioseph decus”. I sing it pretty much everyday at work while going about my business.
The website of the Church Music Association of America, musicasacra.com, has many online copies of hymnals for the Liturgy of the Hours/Divine Office. There are also a good many hymnals available to buy, at reasonable prices, which musicasacra.com links to.
