“Supertradmum” (Marie Dean): R.I.P.

Dear readers,

I was informed today that a long-time reader and commentator here,  with the handle “Supertradmum” has died.  I had posted about her illness a while back.  She died in St Joseph’s Hospice, London, this morning.

In your goodness please remember to pray for the soul of Marie Bernard Miller Dean (Supertradmum).

She leaves a son behind. Please, too, remember him in your prayers.

I just thought of her yesterday, and hoped for an update. We knew she wasn’t well. Somehow it feels like I knew her, there’s a feeling of real loss. It really is a community, I’m not trying to be hokey, but we’re in a battle zone together. Supertradmum, Marie, was a sister in Christ, someone who loved God and loved the church and the faith. I hope we meet someday in heaven, please God. I profited from her words many times. Surely she goes out of a dark world and into a better one.
Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul rest in peace, amen. And please God, comfort her poor son, amen.
    Marie Dean, you’ll be missed.

Thank you for posting about Marie’s death. She was a special lady. I daily adopt a soul who is to die that day, and offer my Holy Communion for them. I wondered who it might be today when I lit a candle for that soul. I surely hope it was Marie. I loved her blog. She was very detached from earthly things, except her dear son Edmund. Prayers for his consolation and for the repose of her soul. I will have the Holy Mass offered for her. Rest In Peace, dear Marie. Pray for us, if you have reached the gates of Heaven and we will pray for you in case you aren’t quite there.

This is sad news indeed. She and I grew up in the same areas at different times, so while I know her only through her comments here and elsewhere and through a few email exchanges, I felt a special affinity for her and when she would share stories of our home state.
