Mass at quarter past the hour

I am about to say Mass at quarter past the hour.

Please unite your prayers to the Holy Sacrifice.  Ask your angels to be present in your stead.

There are no distances.

Thank you Father Z. I just found your site/podcast but know you from Saint Agnes a while back. I’m glad you are doing this. God bless you, you are in my prayers.

Father: would you elaborate on asking one’s angel to be present in their stead, please?

  4. Ohio Annie says:

Ditto czemike. My education is light about angels.

That’s an encouraging and consoling thought.
    Thank you.

  6. This little book might help one understand about sending your guardian angel somewhere. It is excellent

    SEND ME YOUR GUARDIAN ANGEL
In this book, Fr. Alessio Parente brings back the “old fashioned” idea that we are in the presence of a celestial companion who, as Padre Pio said, “does not abandon us, even when we disgust God.” The Church Dogma on the Angels already tells us this; but in this book, we find out just how true it is, through the experiences of St. Pio and his spiritual children

  7. Richard says:

I can see the advantage of sending my guardian angel to your Mass, but doesn’t that leave me unguarded until he gets back?

  8. I suppose if Padre Pio could bilocate and angel can as well.

  9. czemike: Angels are purely spiritual being, who are not bound by the limitations of matter. As a result, they “are” where they choose to act. It is no obstacle for an angel to be virtually in many places at the same time, because they do not really have to travel from point a to b. Also, your angels behold the face of God and know His will for you.
