A note of thanks for thanks

I have received many "thank you notes" via e-mail from readers for my comments on the lifting of the excommunications of the SSPX bishops.

You are welcome.  I add only that I do not speak for the Holy See.  I only relate my views, as always.

Many people have also asked how they can write to the Holy Father to thank him for what he did:

His Holiness
Pope Benedict XVI
Apostolic Palace
00120 VATICAN CITY

There is also an email address, but I don’t know how well it is monitored.

benedictxvi@vatican.va

If you use it, I suggest you write a clear "subject line".  Imagine the spam and bad stuff sent to that address.

And keep it very brief if you write.  Always end with an expression of prayer for his heavy burdens or the intentions he has designated.

The last story I remember from Rome Reports, HH has 20 nuns that read his email for him. Maybe send an email AND a follow-up note?

Just so H.H. doesn\’t get spam, you might consider altering how his email appears in this post. ;)

i.e. benedictxvi at vatican dot va

Forget about the Email to the Holy Father.
They hardly make it beyond the screen, they are not archived, etc.

Letters are a lot more effective.

They are read and normally they are also answered in some way.
