Just FYI. No picture, just frame on a treo in google reader view, iphone view and full view. I guess its a picture of a big black brick? :)
Well this is something new we haven’t seen, literal brick by brick reform.
Chust nice.
Just… scoot a wee little bit more forward and…
Where’s the grey cinderblock? :) The church is absolutely beautiful!
That’s lovely, noble, and obviously meant for worship.
“I rejoiced when I heard them say, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord’….”
Magnificent! Thank you for sharing!
Agnes:
Fr. Blake is celebrating so far out because they are presently rebuilding the floor of the sanctuary and the steps leading to the high altar. The floor has been torn up, and you can see the timbers that lay beneath the floor behind the altar. It’s a temporary situation and when construction is finished they will remove the temporary altar and celebrate at the high altar.
That’s why sekman made the joke about “a literal brick by brick reform”
Any idea how they’re funding the reconstruction? My parish could use some work, and most of us there agree, but we have just enough cash flow to cover our expenses.
I have a question. Has anyone ever considered whether or not it is right to take pictures or videos of the Blessed Sacrament?

I have the same question. Even more so on TV. Please Father Z can you comment on this too. This has been troubleing me for years!
DCtrad: Christians are not against images of the Lord.
I see that. Very beautiful – I’m sure Fr. Z will post a picture for us once it’s complete!
I love his chasuble!
Why did they not use the real alter or as one one say the High Alter??
JCC: Did you not read what was written above? Did you look at the altar? Did you look at the floor?
