Thanks for your patience

The blog was down for a while, but we got it going again.

The server was getting hit pretty hard by… someone… not sure.

You are most welcome. I’m not sure just how a server “gets hit hard”, but there’s no need to explain.

    DDOS attack?

  3. Jack: Thought of that. Not sure.

I think it is more likely that someone has links to posts here that are live and not caching. Every time their pages load they pull on the WDTPRS server.

I have no clue what you’re all talking about :(

St. Francis of Assisi tomorrow :)
God grant us all his simple but profound spirituality!
    Holy Sunday to you all.

  5. I have been having trouble reaching several Catholic sites. Whether there are secular sites also having problems would be interesting to know.

I’ve not been able to reach Catholic News Agency and some other sites have putzed along.

  6. Wow – here we are hours later and Catholic News Agency is really down. What a shame.

Might be the back bone those servers/webspaces were running on. Sometimes attacks will be focused on those because hackers know they can “bring down” several sites all at once

Speaking of ‘Catholic sites being down’….

For the last few days, I tried to get on the official website of St. Therese in Lisieux, for news on the visit of her relics to England. Couldn’t access it…maybe it was overwhelmed with visitors who wanted to read about it.

Well, Fr. Z, I have a feeling who is responsible for this: it’s the Ol’ Dragon himself!
