YOUR URGENT PRAYER REQUESTS

Please use the sharing buttons!  Thanks!

Continued from THESE.

I get many requests by email asking for prayers. Many requests are heart-achingly grave and urgent.

We should support each other in works of mercy.

As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand.

If you have some prayer requests, feel free to post them below. You have to be registered here to be able to post.

But, registered or not, please take a moment to pray for the people about whom you read here below.

Finally, I still have two serious personal petitions.

  4. wanda says:

For Jesse, a young man who has had a ton of difficulties his entire life. He had brain surgery as a less than one year old, he is now around 30 years of age. He recently had brain surgery to remove a growth, non-malignant, thanks be to God. He is having a very slow recovery, set-backs and infections, etc.
Please pray for a complete and speedy recovery. This young man is the nicest, most pleasant soul
considering everything he endures. And please pray for his loving and dedicated parents, Dad is a recently ordained deacon. Thank you and blessed Christmas and many graces to all in the New Year.

For S., and for D.L., who are suffering from infertility, that they may be blessed with children. We need many, many babies born to faithful Catholic couples, Lord. S. has also lost her job, and is trying to discern God’s will in her life; so I pray that she is blessed with employment, and peace of mind in accordance to His will.

For E.R., who is suffering mentally, emotionally and financially, from his wife’s betrayal, his children’s abandonment, and his job loss.

For my siblings and their children, who have fallen to secularism, for their return to the Faith and living God’s Word.

Lastly, for me, as my family and financial problems have gone from bad to worse. I also have some potential health problems. (Thank you, VexillaRegis, for remembering me. It means so much. God bless you.)

I will join Fr. Z’s and all intentions here to my daily prayers, Rosary, and time spent in Adoration.

Prayers for you all and Fr. Z’s two things.

  14. VexillaRegis says:

@ “La Siciliana”: I’m just glad that I can assist you in some way. Your sister should be happy that I don’t live anywhere near her American(?) door step. I would show up there an tell her what I think of her treatment of you. You see, I happen to hate injustice and love Sicily :-) !

Prayers for all will be included in my rosary tonight..
Please pray for a friend of my daughters who is having difficulties within her marriage. She and her husbamd fostered and then adopted a darling little boy.

  19. Paul Lemmen says:

I ask prayers as the determination of my state within the Church goes forward. My current state is as a layman but it is yet to be determined which of my ordinations can be accepted as valid but illicit and steps taken to make them licit. The required documantation has been supplied and verified, the Bishops who ordained me as Deacon, Priest and Bishop over the years appear (to the Vicar of my Diocese) to possess valid Orders. It remains for my Bishop to forward the findings to Rome for a final determination. Please keep me in your prayers as the whels grind slowly!
    May God bless you all.

  20. VexillaRegis says:

Please pray for my young catholic friend Ms G, who tried to commit suicide some weeks ago, taking all her medicines and cutting her self. She has an invisible handicap and has been depressed and mentally unstable for years. It’s so sad – she is very intelligent and funny and such a good friend.

St Dymphna, please, please, pray for Ms G and her family!

Also, kindly pray for Fr. M., our young pastor, and thank you for all your prayers for my intentions since I joined this forum. I will pray for you!

  21. Angie Mcs says:

For my growth in faith, to build a stronger relationship with God. that I learn to let go of so many of the overwhelming anxieties, worries and pain that exist in my life right now and turn them over to God, to ask for His guidance and help. To really understand that with Him, I am never alone.

Reading your requests always touches my heart. I will pray for all of you, including Father Z and his special prayer requests.

    Thank you.

  22. Jennifer says:

My widowed cousin has had cancer for a few years, at first responding quite well to treatment. However in recent months her condition has deteriorated. On Christmas Eve, she had to be taken into hospital as her temperature had shot up due to an infection (subsequently thought to have originated in her Hickman line) that needed treating with IV antibiotics. Luckily it was caught in time or it could have been a lot worse.
She stayed in hospital until the Saturday when they discharged her, but she had to return each day as an outpatient for further drips of antibiotics. A couple of days ago she was quite ill, whether due to the chemotherapy, the last session of which was 17th Dec or whether directly due to the cancer we don’t know yet. Her only son stayed with her this weekend and she is very weak and not eating much. He said that she is awfully thin at the moment, & they’re having to take each day as it comes. He lives nearly two hours drive away (married with two small children) and of course is at work all week, so depends on a couple of her friends to take care of her most of the time. I live much further away, so the only way I can help is by praying for her.

  23. mamajen says:

At my 20 week prenatal appointment, I learned that I have polyhydramnios (excess amniotic fluid). This could indicate that something is wrong with the baby, though thankfully that does not appear to be the case so far. It can also lead to pre-term labor or other complications, which is the primary concern right now. I am being sent to a high-risk doctor next week. In the mean time I am trying very hard not to worry. I had thought everything was hunky dory. Prayers are greatly appreciated–I’ve felt rather alone in this because a lot of people don’t understand.

Now I’m going to read through all the requests before mine and pray for all of you!

  24. Supertradmum says:

    Severe financial difficulties, illness….please

  25. VexillaRegis says:

    Dear mamajen,

Don’t worry, we will do that for you! Just lie down on your couch :-). Santa Gianna Beretta Molla will pray for you, as will we.

Please pray for Margaret on here, who’s also pregnant.

    Dear STM,

    prayers are coming your way!

And would you add a prayer, or two, for me too, please?

  26. Mom2301 says:

Prayers have been offered for each entry I have read so far.
Please pray for a friend of mine who is a mother of 3 young children and has ALS. She has now been confined to a wheelchair and struggles with the simplest of tasks. Also for my dad who has brain cancer. Thank you.

  27. Torpedo1 says:

Praying for all the requests here. Pray for my twin sister and her husband, that they can ggrow stronger in their marriage. Pray for my parents. My mother is going to Mass and Confession again, Thank you Lord, but I’m worried about my father. He is in a very low emotional place right now. Pray that God rescues him, because I can’t. My Beloved proposed to me after Mass on the Feast of the Holy Family. It was wonderful, but please pray for us? Fr. Z, I pray for you all of the time and will continue to do so.

  28. discipulus says:

Please pray for the elderly parents of some of our friends, that they may be able to bear their cross, and if it be God’s will, heal them.

  29. The Sicilian Woman says:

All intentions here have been included in my daily prayers and Rosary this week. I hope to see all intentions moved into the next “Good News” post. :-)

  30. Ellen says:

For my daughter. She and her husband recently divorced (his idea).
For my son who does not practice any religion
For me. I am caring for my 91 year old father and getting no help from my siblings. I am so tired and lonely at times, I burst out crying and have wanted to die myself.

  31. pmullane says:

Prayers for all, mamajen special prayers to St Gerard Majella for you.

Can I ask prayers for my uncle, that his cancer keeps responding to its treatment, and that he can be helped through the dark days ahead for him. Also for his wife, who was diagnosed with Cancer in December, and who has been told it cannot be treated. She has been moved to a hospice and is preparing for the end. Neither one are Catholics and do not have the consolations of the Church to help them in these times, but they are good people.

If you can spare also please pray for me. I’ve been finding some things tough going since just before new year, I think God is trying to show me that I need to rely on him more.

  32. Paul M says:

Prayers for all, may God grant your petitions.

Please pray for me and my family and our very serious financial difficulties.
For me, that I may find a job so that I can provide for my family.
That my wife and I may reconcile and rebuild our marriage.
For my three young sons, that they may continue to thrive despite some very difficult family circumstances.

  33. jesusthroughmary says:

Please pray for a friend who has recently struggled with his faith and is on his way to report for duty in the United States Army 3,000 miles away from his parish and his Catholic circle of friends.

  34. Ichabod says:

If all who read this could pray for my son. He is now in Rome and I pray his eyes are opened to the real presence. I hope he tries. As GK Chesterton said, Christianity has not been tried and found wanting; it has been found difficult and not tried.
Thank you and blessings to you all.

  35. mamajen says:

Thank you everyone for the prayers!

  36. acardnal says:

I prayed to the Blessed Virgin to intercede for the intentions mentioned here.

  37. chantgirl says:

Please pray for P.L, a Marine suffering from PTSD.

Please pray for Nolan Conners, an eleven-year-old boy who died this past week. He was training to be a Latin mass server and died very unexpectedly in his sleep.

Please pray for the priests and parishioners of Christ the King parish in Kansas City. The Pastor has introduced the TLM and it has caused such animosity in the parish that people have stopped giving, and the school is in danger of closing.

Please pray for P.W.. I am her confirmation sponsor and she works for the ACLU. Nuff said.

    Prayers for all of you!

  38. Bea says:

Prayers for a parishioner who died suddenly in a car accident.
Very active (especially in pro-life) and had a very loving heart.
She leaves her husband and 4 sons.
Her funeral was today. I couldn’t get into the parking lot or find parking in the street. I had to miss it.
with arthritis I couldn’t walk that far.
    RIP

  39. StWinefride says:

    Praying for all of you!

Please pray for my family, especially my 3 children.
My sister-in-law who has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
My aunt, also my Godmother, who is suffering.
My father, that he continues to improve after his treatment for bowel cancer.
    Myself.

    Thank you.

  40. Torpedo1 says:

Thank you for all the prayers offered so far and I’m still praying for everyone here. At Ellen,
I know what it’s like to be alone and taking care of someone. I know that bursting into tears feeling and how tired you get. Try to remember, when it gets really bad, that God is with you in that suffering, even if you can’t feel him there. He and his blessed mother and the saints are all with you. May God give you strength and grace, even if it’s just to get through another day.

  41. Paul Lemmen says:

I thank all of you for your prayers on my behalf and I am including all here in my Rosary all wek and my daily Mass intentions. @Ellen, my prayers for you especially as I know how hard it is to be a caregiver without respite.

  42. Gemma says:

Our family needs prayer. My husbands unemployment has just ran out and he still cannot find a job. We have not had a second salary because I homeschooled. My son who is a 2009 college graduate cannot find a job either. My other son return from the seminary after three years and was told he was to smart to be a priest[by his peer review} and needed to return to get his degree before attempting again. Three men at home with PT,temporary employment. I am overwhelmed with the frightening prospect of living in the street. No door has opened or any light come in to show us direction or help.
