Registered or not, will you in your charity please take a moment look at the requests and to pray for the people about whom you read?
Continued from THESE.
I get many requests by email asking for prayers. Many requests are heart-achingly grave and urgent.
As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand. We should support each other in works of mercy.
If you have some prayer requests, feel free to post them below. You have to be registered here to be able to post.
Finally, I have a serious personal petition.
Please pray for my 87 year old father whose cancer has metastasized and is back in the hospital today. He grew up in poverty in the hills of another country and never received more than a 2 or 3rd grade education. I don’t believe he has ever been formally catechized and as far as I know he has not gone to confession. He has always worked and taken care of his family best he knows how. He has always had a HUGE devotion to St. Barbara so…sorry to babble on. Thank you and God bless you greatly in return.
Please pray for Eric.. a dear friend who died last week. He had a big heart. I will miss him so much.
Please also pray for my brother who is looking for a job.
and for my intentions. God bless you all.
A friend of mine is piecing together memories of the abuse she suffered as a child at the hands of her parents. Please pray that she’s able to stay stable and find a good professional to work through this with her.
Copy-paste from twitter (I posted it).
Please pray for a couple who were in an accident returning from their 25th anniversary celebration. they have 4 girls. RT 4 a #prayerchain
I hate asking for myself, but if you could spare a little prayer for me, I would appreciate it. I spent 10 hours in the ER yesterday because a cold developed into a cough and fever. Being heavily pregnant, it’s more of a concern. I’m feeling much better today and I’m on medicine now, so I’m hopeful the worst is over. I am so very grateful for those of you who have been praying for me these past several months.
Please pray for my husband’s cousin, Paul. He fell while playing racketball, fractured his skull all the way around the back, ended up in a coma and on a ventilator. Fortunately he is at home now, and in three types of rehab for traumatic brain injury, but it will be a long recovery. Please pray for his wife and family as well.
For our Pastor, Fr. John Paul A. who will be undergoing hernia surgery on Thursday.
I am adding all of Fr. Z’s prayer requests, daily, to my prayer-list. Into the hands of the Blessed Mother they go.
Please pray for my father, Dennis, who is having repeated bouts with fluid in his lungs. They drain his lung and in a few days time they refill. So far the Dr.s haven’t found the cause so they don’t know how to treat. It is extremely uncomfortable for him.
I will add Fr.Z’s and everyone’s requests to my rosary intention tomorrow. Please pray for the religious vocation of someone who has desired it for a very long time.
For some family needs (related to my dad’s work situation) and a personal intention that I have been wrestling with for a long time. Thanks.
Please pray for two great Priests of the Archdiocese of Boston, Frs. Carlos Lopez, and Fr James Doran, O.M.V. . They are due to undergo surgery on Tuesday. Fr Doran is donating a kidney to his brother Priest.
Will pray the rosary for Fr. Z and the above requests today.
Please pray for my husband who has an appointment with his urologist next Monday to check if his cancer has or has not advanced.
Thanks
Please pray for a return to the Catholic faith of my children and conversion of my husband and son-in-law and grandchildren. Also that my mammography will be negative for cancer.
Prayers for all your requests at Mass this evening.
I have several prayer requests:
-For the spiritual and mental well-being and speedy recovery of a friend who has been ill since January;
-For a friend and classmate who has discerned a calling to the priesthood and is joining a missionary order later this year;
-For a friend who is actively discerning a conversion to Catholicism and several others who are contemplating such a discernment;
-For a few special intentions concerning my family.
Thank you all very much, and I will be praying for all of you and your intentions, spoken and unspoken.
Please pray for K, a friend from the shooting range, who recently died too young of ALS.
For A, who is about three weeks pregnant, that she will not miscarry this time.
For me, two special intentions.
For Fr. M and all priests.
Thank you.
I’ll pray for all of those here. Pray for my parents, especially my father and for my fiance and myself. Thanks everyone.
Asking prayers for total healing as I begin my 4th and hopefully final round of chemo today. Also asking prayers that the side effects won’t be too bad this time, and that within about 5 weeks my baby will be able to return to nursing. Thank you, and I am praying for your intentions too.
Dear Darcy, I will pray especially for you.
For my mother, who is dealing with chronic pain and an ongoing back condition, and now with unexplained leg pain.
Also, for a friend of some friends who took his own life last week.
Praying for Fr. Z. and all of these. Please pray for a young lady who lost her unborn child at 23 weeks – she is suffering and had kept the pregnancy secret, so has limited emotional support.
I could use some heavy prayers for my soul these days, for true Hope.
Please pray for my uncle who suffered a massive heart attack last night and is unconscious in the ICU.
I offer my prayers for all of your intentions through the intercession of St. Gabriel the Archangel.
My heart is heavy knowing that there are people out there suffering so much. May God send the healing and help you need.
1) Please pray for my mother, Peggy, who died 12/31/11;
2) Please pray for little Sophie, the daughter of my friends Todd and Ashley, who died two weeks ago today, aged 11 days.
May my saint, St. Michael, protect us all from the snares of the devil.
Pax,
Mike
for the soul of Capt. Michael goodwin, who died putting out a fire in my neighborhood this past Saturday, and for his family
All of you, and your intentions, are in my prayers.
Prayers for all.
For my family, that our current improvement in family harmony may continue, and that my husband might soften his heart regarding another child.
I will keep you and your loved ones in my prays each day.
Please pray that my financial needs will be met and that I can find work in my field and according to my ability. Thank you.
Please intensify your prayers for His Excellency, Archbishop Vigneron of Detroit. The flap from even his own flock and the media is nasty at this point. True shepherds will always be under attack for upholding the Faith and Moral teachings entrusted to them. The Eastern Orthodox Community in the area are standing in solidarity with him.
for vocations and priests for intentions
Please pray for the repose of the soul of a young man at my sons’ high school. He committed suicide this morning. :(
Praying that Mother Mary will keep her mantle over all of you and go to Jesus for you, Father Z also of course.
Please pray for C. who is visiting a monastery discerning a vocation, for the Lord to heal my husband’s heart, and that the Lord will solve the problem of getting my mother moved out of her house to a safe place soon.
God bless and help all of you.
Praying for everyone and their intentions.
Offered some of my rosary for all your intentions yesterday; and will do the same today. Special prayers for Darcy and the young man who committed suicide. May Our Lord bless us all!
I am praying for all intentions above. Please pray for Pope Emeritus Benedict.
We’ll remember everybody in our daily prayers tonight.
Please pray for my husband’s job search. He is going back to work after homeschooling our children and now that I have to stop working because of my health he is bravely entering a terrible job market in northern IN. Thank you.
Jennifer
For my father who tried to take his own life shortly before Easter, and who suffers from chronic catatonic depression. Please pray that he will submit to serious treatment, and that he is healed.
Also for my step-sister who lost her child three weeks ago (would have been her fourth) at 9 weeks, and for her mother who is having to juggle a lot of needs right now between my dad and her daughter.
Thank you all for your time and your prayers.
My previous request seems to be resolved–I’m doing much better. Thank you for your prayers.
I have another, very serious request that involves my extended family, but I need to keep the details private.
Thank you everyone.
I pray for all the above intentions.
Please pray that I am successful in removing my children from their current school. There is a potential alternative (Catholic) but there are many obstacles and I must not give up trying or lose hope.
Thank you.
Please pray for the mother of one of our parishioners, who is gravely ill.
Please pray for the conversion of my mother and brother!
For our daughter’s friend, a young mother of two, who has been struggling with an undiagnosed medical problem since January.
Would you please pray for a student of mine? This student, a junior in high school, just received a diagnosis of cancer. Thank you! Could you also please pray for me and my wife? We have two beautiful children and would love so much to welcome more children into the world.
Please pray for the repose of the soul of Father Robert Liberty who passed away suddenly last week. He was only 43.
