Pres. Obama to ObamaCare comrades: “The work you’re doing is God’s work.”

This from WSJ:

President Says ObamaCare Volunteers Doing ‘God’s Work’ [?!?]
Barack Obama speaks to his old campaign comrades [That’s the right word.] at Organizing for Action.

HOLY OBAMACARE

Last night in Washington President Obama addressed the national meeting of Organizing for Action, the outfit formerly known as his re-election campaign. [If he can’t be re-elected to the White House, why is this organization still around?  For this sort of dreck.] Young OFA volunteers have been redeployed to the task of persuading Americans to sign up for new health insurance plans created by the President’s Affordable Care Act. [“Affordable”… right.  Have you lost your health care yet?] Mr. Obama urged his young fans to sign up as many people as possible before this year’s March 31 enrollment deadline. “The work you’re doing is God’s work,” he said. [I cannot express the depths of my contempt for his hypocrisy.]

The irony is particularly rich given that under a mandate issued under the Affordable Care Act, Mr. Obama is still trying to force the Little Sisters of the Poor to violate their religious beliefs. The Little Sisters are nuns who run a nonprofit nursing home and hospice and are resisting the government’s order to pay for birth control, which they oppose.

[…]

Again I call you mind the famous line in the fight between Hellman and McCarthy:

Every word [he] writes is a lie, including ‘and’ and ‘the’.

“God bless Planned Parenthood.” — Barack Hussein Obama

  2. Burke says:

Still, if the President of the USA has declared that Obamacare is ‘God’s work’ doesn’t that mean that the Supreme Court must now strike it down so as to keep church and state separate?

  4. george says:

Maybe in our esteemed leader’s view, saying “The work you’re doing is God’s work” and “The work you’re doing is my work” are equivalent. And maybe saying “God bless Planned Parenthood” is equivalent to saying “I bless Planned Parenthood”…

  5. Legisperitus says:

Didn’t he, at some point, also say Christ died on the Cross for same-sex marriage?

And then there’s Pelosi with “abortion is sacred ground.”

It’s all shaping up into the anti-Church of the anti-religion.

  6. Iacobus M says:

Yes, secularism is its own religion, and abortion is its chief sacrament. The IRS and FCC are both trying out for the role of Inquisition. I could go on . . .

In this case though, god means government to a liberal.

Government is “the one thing we all belong to.”

Barack Obama, we praise thy name
Lord of all, we bow before thee
All on earth thy presidency claim
All in hell below adore thee
    Infinite you think your domain,
    Everlasting you hope your reign.

Note: The above is tongue-in-cheek satire mixed with a generous helping of bitterness, topped off with a hint of irony. Nothing more.

  12. Sonshine135 says:

I hate to say this, but I believe that Barack Obama was just the tip of the proverbial iceberg for the good ole’ US of A. I believe as apathy and selfishness grows in this country, so will the power of those who are placed in positions of responsibility. The only thing keeping anything worse from happening is the ownership of firearms and the copious amounts of ammo in personal hands.

  13. Kathleen10 says:

Satan always mocks Jesus, religion, and faith. The occult practices often co-opt a a symbol or aspect of Christianity in order to gain respectability, even if it be unintentional. The subconscious of every human being must sense the truth and is at times forced to acknowledge that truth. I do not believe for a second this “president” has the slightest bit of respect for God, and his words are blasphemous, considering his words and actions.

  14. Priam1184 says:

@Sonshine135 You are 1000% correct. Barack Obama didn’t just drop out of the sky; we made him. And as to your faith in firearms I would just like to say that there are not enough bullets in the world to stop what is coming if we do not desist from this madness.

Father, it isn’t “The Coming Storm” anymore, the storm is already here. We have already descended into a dark and barbaric age, but that fact hasn’t dawned on anybody yet because they can still flip a switch and the lights go on.

  15. LeslieL says:

I LOVE Burke’s comment! It was the best laugh I had all day, and I’ve shared it with a few friends….one young priest was laughing so hard he could barely talk. And he said he had a few folks to share it with, so thank you, Burke!
Now, I must say, it seems that perhaps there is a God complex going on here – I mean, that Deacon Sandy guy said we don’t need to kneel because we stand when the President walks into the room – basically saying that if standing is good enough for the President, it is good enough for God – thereby equating God and the President. I’m not a bit shocked the President seems to feel he is on equal footing…he is certainly treated as if he were.

  16. Satan calls himself God and demands worship. To which God does Obama refer?

  17. Ben Kenobi says:

“Abortion is a sacrament” was a direct shot fired off our bow. Obama believes himself to be the Messiah of a new religion.

  18. Irene says:

Father, lest any of the young readers misunderstand, the reference to (Lillian) Hellman should be [she], not [he]. The one who said this of Hellman was Mary McCarthy. Someone unfamiliar with the quote, might perhaps think the [he] is Joseph McCarthy.

  19. CharlesG says:

Would that be the same God that the Democrats booed at their last presidential convention?

  20. lsclerkin says:

He is an agent of hell.
What do you expect from an agent of hell?
And the people who voted for him twice?

  21. StJude says:

All I can say is God will not be mocked.

  22. ryanbilodeau says:

Reminds me of Nancy Pelosi praying to St. Joseph for the passage of Obamacare.
