URGENT PRAYER REQUEST

Please use the sharing buttons! Thanks!

Registered or not, will you in your charity please take a moment look at the requests and to pray for the people about whom you read?

Continued from THESE.

I get many requests by email asking for prayers. Many requests are heart-achingly grave and urgent.

As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand. We should support each other in works of mercy.

If you have some prayer requests, feel free to post them below.

You have to be registered here to be able to post.

I still have two pressings personal petitions.

ALSO…

One person who frequently comments here sent me by email:

[…]

I have had pain in the area for many, many months.

The doctor thought it was not serious until the CT scan came back.

So, please say a Mass or two for me and you may ask people to pray for me but as I do not know what the problem is, please give no details. If I do have cancer again, I shall let you know.

No details and nothing about the person, but that doesn’t mean that you cannot offer prayers.  Please do offer prayers.

  1. Filumene says:

For a hardworking family without means to even provide their most basic needs. They suffer spiritually and physically. Also, for a very obstinate soul. Make that two obstinate souls.
May Our Lady convert their stubborn hearts and set them aflame in Divine love.

I will pray for your intentions, Father. And for the one you posted above.

  2. IloveJesus says:

    I’m disabled and homebound.

I don’t have enough money to pay for my caregivers and my husband and his attorney are refusing to help me.

  3. Dcrowmik says:

Prayers and Mass Friday will be offered for your and everyone else’s intentions.

A request of my own – a dear friend has been suffering with food and chemical sensitivities for 10 years. It has slowly progressed to the point where she can literally eat only 5-6 kinds of foods – and those at times give her severe intestinal pains and body aches. She has been strong through it all but I am starting to detect cracks in her will to continue.

Please pray the Lord deliver RW from all this and restore her to health.

  4. MrsMacD says:

For my 60 year old Uncle Stephen who has lung cancer, is doing CHEMO, has been admitted to the hospital with Meningitis and is sedated in ICU and intubated.

  5. MrsMacD says:

    And he had a stroke

  6. Discerning Altar Boy says:

I will be attending a retreat this weekend sponsored by my Diocesan Office of Vocations. Please pray that as I end high school I might quickly discern God’s will for me. I will also be making a Confession tomorrow, please pray that I might be strong enough to put all my sin out in the open and trust His mercy.

Please pray for my dear friend who is curious about the Faith and wants to convert.

Please pray for my ailing Uncle, who suffers from Alzheimer’s. Pray that if the disease afflicts his siblings, that the suffering be minor.

Please pray for my brother and father, who have fallen away from the faith, that they might respond to the witness of the faith of my mother and I.

I have prayed for all intentions listed above. As an aside, I believe that all of our prayers should be ended with “in accordance with your will” so that we can come to understand the supremacy of God’s will to our own.

  7. DMontgomery says:

We just found out that one of my girlfriend’s friends is several months pregnat and planning on having an abortion. My girlfriend has just gone to the hospital to try and convince her to change her mind. Please pray for them.

  8. Sonshine135 says:

Please pray for a Priest who is being scandalized, and for prudence and repentance for those who scandalized him to begin with.

  9. Rosary Rose says:

Offering Prayers, fasting and mortification for you all. Our Lady of Sorrows pray for us.

  10. John Grammaticus says:

    for employment

  11. Moro says:

I’ve been eagerly seeking a job for quite some time with no success. I went back to school and still no luck, even with interviews. I can’t tell you how many times I went through, thought I was all set, and nothing. Please pray that this ends. I need to pay back student loans. I’m just hoping and praying for something that will allow me to pay for student loans, a used car to get around, and a place to live. I’m not a high roller by any means. It’s been a real strain for me and my family. I really need to be delivered from this trial ASAP. God help me!

  12. Fallibilissimo says:

Let’s keep the persecuted Christians around the world in our prayers. Let’s pray that God aides them through the horrific challenges, some worse than bodily death, they have to face.
I ask if you could also pray for a family member I love dearly who has been seeking employment for some time. It has taken a serious toll on his mental health.

    Lord, please help us.

  13. Please pray for my daughter, Nichole, who is 37 and has been in the hospital eight days now. She has ulcerative colitis which got so bad it infected her pancreas and the lymph nodes in her abdomen. She is a single mom with 4 children from the ages of 11-18, and has to be healthy to be able to hold onto her job to support her kids and herself. Thank you in advance

For all the requests above….My Jesus, Mercy!

  14. yatzer says:

Have prayed for all these. Also please pray for the soul of a woman who died Monday. I knew her from a darling little girl who was always in and out of our house and have a photo of her and my daughter playing tea party in our back yard. Sadly, she got into drugs, etc. and it finally killed her. She has a school age daughter.

  15. Dad of Six says:

Today’s Rosary and fast is for all those here.

Please pray for a brother with ALS and family members with mental illness.

  16. Filumene says:

    Dcrowmik, many thanks!

  17. MrsMacD says:

Also for my sister MS who has galbladder disease and 9 children ages 9 and younger. And for FG who is spent taking care of both her own 5 kids and MS’s 9 and running two households. Also for RW who has health issues, 5 little children and is suffering depression.

  18. VexillaRegis says:

Mr H, the old Lutheran church warden, died last week. Since his wife passed away quite a few years ago, he has visited her grave and lit a candle every day. Please pray for him :-).
My old Catholic friend, Mrs K, is very ill and will not live for much longer, as is seems. Pray for this devout lady.

Some very unsettling news about my parish has reached me; consequences of our pastor’s nasty behaviour. Please, please pray for a new good priest instead of this terrifying one.

I also have three personal requests. Please pray for me. I will pray for all of you and your intentions here.

  19. introibo says:

May our Lord help those with disease and maladies such as cancer. We have two family members who became tumor/cancer-free after drinking Essiac/Flor Essence herbal tea mixture. JFK’s personal physician Dr. Brusch successfully used/prescribed it and claimed, at least for some people, that it cured them. God designed a lot of helps into nature.

  20. Nan says:

Please pray for my friend P. A few weeks after her mom died, which had been expected after her stroke, P was diagnosed with Stage 3 lung cancer. She says it’s manageable but not curable. P is Lutheran and says she’d become Catholic but has been divorced several times. Her current ex-husband can no longer work as he has MS and is living with her and their daughter, who is finishing college. Please pray also for her ex and their children are in their early and mid 20s. This is an awful lot for one family.

Please also pray for the Church, priests and seminarians.

My prayers go out to all of you, esp. Discerning Altar Boy.

  21. un-ionized says:

My heart and prayers go out to everyone, life is a trial and an endurance contest. Please pray that I can just accept that I will never be baptized and confirmed properly and learn to just rely on God. Please pray that I recover from this terrible misogyny I have experienced from these priests who are really imposters. I am renewing my consecration to Mary, which is difficult because I am a convert. My heart is broken but Mary has special duct tape for broken hearts.

  22. MouseTemplar says:

In my 9th month of unemployment and the emergency fund is gone. There is a chance at a job for us and I hope to hear next week as to whether it works out. We are running on fumes at this point. We are two people in our 50’s with an adopted 10 year old son; all of us have serious health issues and the stress is only making them worse.

Please pray for us as I pray for you.

  23. un-ionized says:

I especially pray for those with job problems, that the abyss turns upward and becomes a horizon.

  24. VexillaRegis says:

Dear un-ionized, yes life is certainly a trial. How are we going to survive life?

I vaguely remember that you have mentioned something about having baptismal problems, but, may I ask what the problem consists of and why you can’t have a conditional baptism? (If Fr. Z doesn’t mind this mini discussion).

  25. un-ionized says:

VR, it is tangled up with the abuse problem that I had. I can’t go into it because of threats made against me by a priest.

  26. un-ionized says:

VR, I have consulted a couple of canon lawyers and I’m trying to do what they suggested but the priest gossip mill makes it difficult. The bishop refused to handle it. I have been assured that I am covered by something called baptism of desire, though I looked it up and that appears to be for people who don’t have access to baptism. I have access, it’s just that the priests are, I don’t know what.

  27. un-ionized says:

VR, I did get a certificate so I can show that to St. Peter at the gate so he will see it isn’t my fault.

  28. VexillaRegis says:

un-ionized, ah, I get the picture, a nasty and frightening situation indeed! Now, God doesn’t want you to live in this canonical, spiritual and emotional limbo, so I’m going to pray for you to meet a good priest who will baptise you properly.

  29. un-ionized says:

VR, thank you. Our severest trials come from the powers of the Church. That is how it has always been.

  30. MrsMacD says:

Uncle Stephen died today. Please pray for his soul.

  31. un-ionized says:

MrsMacD, I am sorry. Praying for him and you.

  32. jameeka says:

For an urgent special intention! Thank you, I continue to pray the Rosary for all your intentions.

  33. aviva meriam says:

Please pray for me and my family. My husband and I are both desperately looking for work.
Also, my mother in law is failing medically, and the emotional pain my husband feels is affecting his job search.

In your charity, please pray for J. who has parkinson’s and a likely bladder cancer diagnosis. Also, pray for my Cousin J.R.M, who is a young mother and has breast cancer.
