Dear Father Z. ; Thankyou for allowing me to Post my prayer request. My wife and I just a few days ago experienced a terrible family tragedy when the daughter (M.) of close relatives was, near her home in Vienna, hit and killed by a streetcar. She was crossing a street with her 2-year old son in her arms and did not see the oncoming tram. Despite the tram driver applying emergency brakes, the streetcar struck M. hard, throwing her to the ground. Due to severe head injuries, M. died, I believe, as she was being Helivac’d to the hospital. She was only 33 years old and 8 months pregnant. Thankfully her 2-year old son survived with broken bones and is expected to make a full physical recovery. The physicians at the hospital performed a Cesarean and desperately tried to save the baby. A Priest was quickly called and the baby was Baptized. Despite the best that the physicians could do, these efforts were sadly to no avail; the baby died a short time later. If you, dear readers, would be so kind to say a prayer for their souls, my wife and I would be most grateful.
I will continue to pray for Father Z’s pressing personal petitions and the other petitions posted here.
Please pray for my husband, Pat. He is having heart surgery on August 17th. Please pray for his protection from complications, a successful surgery, a return to normal of his heart functions, and the ability to return to work.
We greatly appreciate this blog (Thanks Father Z!) and all of your prayers.
I was recently informed my position is being eliminated. I will have an opportunity to apply for other roles, but I don’t know what those are, if I will be selected, or I am being “managed out”. Could you please pray that I trust this situation to God? That I handle the situation outwardly in a manner that reflects my trust in God? And of course that if I don’t get a new job with my current company, that I find employment elsewhere quickly?
Praying everyone’s intentions. Thank you.
two requests
a) that my Faith be strengthened, its rather weak at the moment, espesicaly regarding God’s providence.
b) employment
I will pray for everyone here
Please pray that the Courage Apostolate will become available to all struggling SSA Catholics like me. We’re fighting to get a foothold in my diocese. Offering up my sufferings and our efforts and praying for everyone’s intentions here.
Prayers, first, of Thanksgiving: a niece is ( I gather) returning to the faith. She’s only 16, but been basically away from the faith for 16 years.
Prayers of petition for a co-worker whose mother had a stroke. Prayers for the mother, too, a good idea.
Prayers of thanksgiving for the new class of ordinands of both the Fraternity and the Institute.
Prayers of petition for some private intentions.
Prayers of thanksgiving for my son, who has just reached 18 years old, and for my wife, as we approach our 26th wedding anniversary on Thursday.
Please pray for me to get the position for which I’ve applied. I’ve been in a very challenging, frustrating, exhausting position for several years (got laterally moved into it and never wanted it), and I’m trying to stay with the organization (which I love) but change to another office because I can’t stand the situation anymore.
I ask the readers to please pray earnestly for the conversion of this fallen away Catholic man from Mexico. Unfortunately, he is now a satanist and is trying hard to spread evil throughout the world. He said, in interview, that he left the Catholic Church because he did not agree with 100% of her doctrines. By the intercession of St. Michael the Archangel, St. Joseph, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, may he repent and return to the True faith. His name is Victor Damian Rozo.
Please pray that the Confraternity of Catholic Clergy meeting at the seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota this week goes very well. Thanks.
These are heartbreaking circumstances and I will pray specifically for each situation friends.
Could you please pray for Ricky, who has had a Job-like year and is now trying to come off an anti-psychotic medication prescribed when he had a kind of breakdown in response to it all. I cannot relate all he has been through, but prayers would be most appreciated. Thank you kindly.
Promising prayers for all who post or read this blog…
Requesting prayers for a very large unjustified medical bill from two years ago that was just sent to me…
Please pray for Mark Hopkins, his wife and their children. Mark was killed in the military plane crash in Mississippi. But, also remember all of those who died in this tragedy and their families.
Thank you.
Karl
I will pray for all of these intentions.
Please pray for us. We’ve had a really rough 6 year period…. finacially, and medically within the family. I’ve finally returned to my field (DEO GRATIAS) but really could use prayers for my success in building a new practice. Eldest Son wants to serve in US Military and needs a medical waiver, and the scholarship he’d get if he went under contract would really help him to stay in School. My husband needs a career reboot and there are two special intentions related to that.
Lastly, if you could remember SJM, an elderly woman who died last month and left her autistic son behind. His family will be there for him but his mother was the only person who penetrated that isolation created by his Autism.
THANK YOU.
Please pray for the repose of the soul of my cousins wife who died in a car accident, Jessica Miller. Please also pray for my cousin Andy and their two teenage children Karsyn and Austin for healing during this time.
Paul, my friend’s father, was hospitalized today. Please pray for him to have a good and speedy recovery (and for him to convert to the Catholic Church).
Please pray for three personal intentions of mine. Life is complicated and many dangers surface in the dark waters.
Prayers for my parish would be very appreciated. We urgently need to get rid of our scary and angry pastor. Things are in a mess in all fields of the parish – from children’s catechesis to finances.
Please pray for the millions of starving people in Sudan. They are dying as a result of years of draught and now kolera.
Pray for all children in the World.
@stjoe, please find out what the laws are in your State. There are limits to how long they have for initial billing, which vary by state.
Please pray for Lucy, a little girl who had surgery to create one ear because she was born without it. Her ear, face and neck started swelling yesterday and her parents took her to the ER. She was diagnosed with MRSA.
Please, in your charity pray for my friend S.V. She had abdominal surgery three weeks ago and the complications that set in (most recently multiple blood clots) as well as the swelling throughout her entire “system” are potentially life threatening. She’s a wife, mother of two, and an only child. Please remember her husband, daughters and parents.
