I had a great note from a reader:
I just dropped off a friend at JFK, Catholic Navy Chaplain, he is going to Lourdes for this event. 200 military personnel are participating. I never knew about the event. The video is quite inspiring. Especially seeing the Swiss Guard participating.
This is Army focused, so I’ll translate OORAH! into a grand HOOAH!
BTW… I am still dubious about the KC changes to uniforms.
Remember CATHOLIC CHAPLAINS!
That’s my pastor, Msgr Michael Butler of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, and a Lt. Col. and chaplain in the Air Force, opening the holy water at 2:20. He does so much for so many, all with the goal to save souls — he is such a blessing!
Wonderful video, Father. The AMS is a worthy charity and dear to my heart. I am a military daughter, wife, and mother, and never think of myself as a civilian. It is heartbreaking that our troops don’t have enough chaplains to serve them. It is because of one of those chaplains that my husband is a Catholic.
That is beautiful! Thank you for posting it, Father.
Great video. Sandy, that’s impressive.
