Registered here or not, will you in your charity please take a moment look at the requests and to pray for the people about whom you read?
Continued from THESE.
Let’s remember all who are ill, who will die soon, who have lost their jobs, and who are afraid.
I get many requests by email asking for prayers. Some are heart-achingly grave and urgent.
Today I received this:
Father,
Thank you for all you do. You don’t realize it but your website and efforts were key to my reversion years ago and keeping on the reservation (so to speak).
A few weeks ago, was informed by a friend that her son was sexually assaulted at school: the damage to his psyche has been devastating. ON top of that, I know of several young adults whose psyches deteriorated due to the stress and isolation of the Covid restrictions. It feels like the culture of the country is falling apart. I pray for them, but one thing that would help is the notion of coming together in your prayer request page. If you could please post that again, and perhaps once every 6 weeks, I know it would be helpful (I regularly return to that page and pray for those who posted previously).
This is but a sample. We need to pray for each other.
I also received a note from Fr. Dana Christensen today, who is battling ALS. His message: “I’m alive!”
As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand. We should support each other in works of mercy.
If you have some prayer requests, feel free to post them below.
You have to be registered here to be able to post.
I ask a prayer for myself. I’m dealing with a lot of challenges right now.
Also, please pray for TF, who is facing serious – faith related – marriage problems. Great suffering.
My cousin died suddenly last night from burst intestines. Please pray for her soul.
First, Fr. Z., thank you for the update on Fr. Dana Christensen. Please let us know if he needs more support ($).
Second, we’re a family of eight (8) – six children and two parents. We tried to raise our children Catholic. Catholic schools, never missed mass, probably a little slack at home on the family prayer front, but had them in confession way more than most folks (lots of gambling, but we did it).
Regardless, the older three have left the plantation. College. Damnable college. Would appreciate prayers that they repent and return to the Church.
These are such strange times.
Please pray for peace between Ukraine and Russia, and all involved. Intentions of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, conversion of sinners, release of the souls from Purgatory, all clergy and religious, and protection of the unborn. For the least, the lonely, and the last. The despondent, the despairing, and suicidal. Novena petitions. For AF, whose birthday it is today. And for the repose of the soul of DMO, who passed away a month ago today. Amen.
Keeping everyone and their intentions (posted or not) in my prayers. Thank you for yours! Thank you Father Z, for always doing these “Prayer Requests” blog posts.
Deo Gratias!
Oh wow, redneckpride4ever, I will pray for your cousin’s soul and your family. That’s so hard!
Also, I am praying for Fr. Christensen, Fr. Z, that poor young man who was assaulted and all of the readers here. I really appreciate you posting this, Fr. Z.
I would like to ask for a couple of requests too: one is for Fr. Gordon J. MacRae who finally has a real chance to be released from prison due to corruption from the police in his case and the other is a pressing personal intention.
God bless and keep you all.
Our youngest brother was recently diagnosed with ALS. Please pray for healing and
discernment and fortitude for him and his family.
I request prayers for my young niece, married with two small children, who’s dealing with recurrent ovarian cancer.
For peace in Ukraine, and a conversion of the hearts of all world leaders.
Please pray for the family of Baby FC – who passed away suddenly in her sleep at only 5 months of age.
My prayers for you, Fr. Z, and all of you who post here, and your intentions. Please pray:
–In thanksgiving for the successful surgery endured by my mother
–For the Pentlow family, physical, emotional, spiritual, mental health and healing
–For peace throughout the world, especially Ukraine
–For those who will die shortly and face judgment, especially those most in danger of damnation
–For the humility and docility needed to cooperate with God’s grace present in my vocations
–For a fruitful, penitential, grace filled Lent for all Catholics
–For all who are suffering from cancer, especially Joanne, Joan and her husband; for all the infirm in the world and those who tend to them
For my son-in-law, 31 years old, who needs a heart transplant. Married to my daughter with three children, 4, 2, and 4 months.
Prayers for my diaconate formation class as we men and our wives continue discerning the Lord’s call to us.
Prayers for Ukraine.
For the poor souls in the Ukraine…
Father Z,
Thank you for this post and the opportunity to pray together.
So many needs and so many of them especially sad. I will pray for you and for all those who post here.
I would appreciate prayers for our son, Alex. He has left the faith, moved 2,500 miles from home, and is currently recovering from an emergency appendectomy.
Pray for me too please. I have multiple sclerosis. My imminent threat isn’t Covid, it’s not being able to walk. I know we’re supposed to want to be in union with Christ and suffer for the sake of souls but neurological conditions are for the birds. If I can move so I can use a wheelchair then so be it. If I can’t find a way to pay to move then I beg for a healing. I’m left floundering in limbo with no solution. So a solution would be wonderful.
And please pray for the G family. They’re moving to Vienna in a few days. War will be too close for comfort. Thank you
Praying for all of the above; for Fr. Christensen and Fr. MacRae daily in any case.
Of your charity, please pray that I might find a physician who could help me.
Please pray for a good career for my husband. He has not had steady employment these past 6 years of our marriage. The emotional and financial strain is becoming unbearable.
I am praying for everyone here. May God bless and protect us from the evils of this world.
“The following is the Prayer to the Holy Spirit given to us on February 11, 1951:
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Father, send now Your Spirit over the earth. Let the Holy Spirit live in the hearts of all nations that they may be preserved from degeneration, disaster and war. May The Lady of All Nations, who once was Mary, be our advocate. Amen.”
…for the sake of His Sorrowful Passion, have Mercy on us and all the prayer petitions of the whole world.
Merelin. Have your husband look into trucking. Lots of companies will pay the licence fee and course. You can make great money. I know because I am a trucker in Canada. Trucking helped my family thrive.
Look into companies like Martin Brower, Gordon Foods or US foods they pay very well even in warehouse roles. Best of luck.
Please pray for Canada and it’s eroding freedoms.
Please pray for the Toronto Oratory and the continuance of their fruitful work and to protect them.
Pray for those who suffered much in areas of employment and mental health in Canada.
Please pray for my mother, that somehow she could overcome her present illness and return to us.
I also pray in thanksgiving for the FSSP.
Praying for your family Peetum and that all families can keep their members in the faith. I know your pain.
College! and except for a few faithful ones, Catholic Colleges are little help.
Please pray for the repose of the soul of my mother, whose 73d birthday this would be today (February 25th).
My mother had several strokes this past fall and hit her head recently. She is now in the ER and has very slurred speech. This is in addition to being delirious. Prayers will be greatly appreciated by me and even more by Our Lord, Who is a much better person than I am.
