♬ “Let Church Bulletins Keep Silence” ♬

As you may remember “Rome”, in their micromangerial zeal for the faithful being mauled by their pastoral care, forbade that Mass times for TLMs be put in parish bulletins. Some priests started calling their TLM the “Youth Mass”, for obvious reasons.

Really, folks, it’s not going away. It is going to grow and grow.

Meanwhile, this was posted by in a comment, but it deserves its own post.

They can’t win.

Outstanding! Truly outstanding! Many thanks to those who made that and to you, Father, for posting it. God willing, this persecution shall soon pass.

    Bravissimo!
I just read that the Vatican is running a competition for a new official hymn for the 2025 Jubilee Year. I think we just found it!

Apparently the Diocese of Arlington has made clear that parishes aren’t even allowed to publish the fact that *any* Mass is even happening when the TLM takes place. Two weeks ago, our parish had a 1:00 Sunday Mass in the bulletin. Now, it’s gone.

I don’t understand how any Bishop thinks it’s ok to actively hide Mass from the world.

    What would Screwtape do?

Thanks for sharing it, Fr. Z! Tradster, I made the recording using a multitrack technique, so all the voices are mine. Many thanks for the kind comments!

As if not publishing the TLM schedule would make it disappear.

I hope the shut down of Masses during the covid nonsense taught us something…..
Not to accept the cancellation of Masses.

But this tells me not to assume the bulletin is accurate on what Masses are available.

Fortunately, trads live in the present.
    Bulletins- who reads those anymore?
