VIDEO (must see): The Benedictines of Mary are growing and BUILDING

The traditional Benedictine nuns of Gower Abbey, the Benedictines of Mary, Queen of Apostles, have expanded with a daughter house. These are the Benedictines who have made the beautiful music recordings that I feature often in my podcasts. They are building in Ava, Missouri in Ozarks.

A tree is known by its fruit.

One of the things that touches me with this initiative is that it is dedicated to St. Joseph and they are building a shrine for FATHERS.

This is really a depressive thought but…how long before they get a ‘commissioner’? This sort of holy life is the sort that the modernist Vatican despises, is it not? It is just not ‘sin-nodal’ enough.

I think this is the group that Bishop Morlino had invited to come to Madison, which made no sense because we had local Cistercian nuns who had been trying for a long time to raise the funds for a very needed proper monastery. Fortunately the Benedictines wound up not coming and the Cistercians have managed to raise the needed funds to get started building for their future.
