YOUR URGENT PRAYER REQUESTS

Please use the sharing buttons! Thanks!

Registered or not, will you in your charity please take a moment look at the requests and to pray for the people about whom you read?

Continued from THESE.

I get many requests by email asking for prayers. Many requests are heart-achingly grave and urgent.

As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand. We should support each other in works of mercy.

If you have some prayer requests, feel free to post them below.

You have to be registered here to be able to post.

I still have two pressings personal petitions.  No, I actually have THREE now.  I can’t get a break, it seems.  Ut Deus….

ALSO…

During this 100th year commemoration of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima, remember the central message Our Lady gave to the Church and to the world: penance and reparation for sins and for the conversion of sinners.

Off your sufferings in reparation for sins and for the conversion of sinners.

Prayed for your intentions and of your readers. Recently started to read your blog again.

If a prayer could be added: I’m currently at the end of my pregnancy, and it’s getting heavy both mentally as well as physically. Prayers to make it through this period would be very welcome.

I’d like to ask for prayers for my husband and I…we are expecting our first child in the fall and my husband needs to find a new job soon.

  3. JillMary says:

Rosary will be offered for all intentions here. As I begin my job search (current position being eliminated through a re-structure), could you please pray I hear what God wants me to do next and that I am afforded that opportunity? I am 51 yrs old and have never felt like I am doing what I “should” be doing. I’m really trying to listen. I always assumed I would be a wife and mother, so I never had any other career aspirations. But alas, either that wasn’t God’s plan or I messed up somehow. I’ve got quite a few years of work ahead of me and will also be taking care of my elderly mother. Please pray that I hear God, that I have the proper attitude and that I put ego aside as I search for my next position. Thank you and God Bless you Father and all of your readers!

  4. John Grammaticus says:

    1) for an increase in faith
    2) new employment
    3) I’m very confused as to my vocation

  5. Angela says:

Praying for all these intentions and yours too Fr. Z. I’d like to ask for prayers for my son, who has been applying for jobs all this year, nothing yet – he has an interview early next week though. I pray God leads him to where he wants him soon.

I need a job — badly. Please pray that I get the job God created me for. Or if that is not a paid job – pray that I find a GOOD paying job so I can support myself and my elderly mom and the job he created me for,

For my priest – Fr Bryan Z.

Infant Ben who was born with Trisomy 18. He was supposed to die at birth – but turned 7 months in July. Please pray for continued improvement. They are now talking about him going home someday.

For the new youth minister at the parish I serve at, who is overwhelmed and hasn’t been there a month yet. For whatever God wants to happen, happens with all involved being strengthened and grace-filled.

Praying for Father Z’s intentions as well as all the others listed here.
Please pray for my husband, Patrick. He has unexpectedly developed serious heart problems. He is having surgery on August 17th. Please pray that he will be protected from complications and the surgery will result in a complete healing and the ability to return to work.
    Thank you and God Bless.

  8. Anneliese says:

    Prayers sent your way, Father.

Please pray for little August Henry, who was born on July 25 with heart defects. And please pray for a friend of mine who is a Dominican (the preachin’ kind). He recently moved to Canada to study Canon law and has discovered that French-Canadians, including clergy members, have lost their faith and that members in his new community seem to despise piety and devotion. Let’s pray the Holy Spirit stokes the flame of love for Jesus. Thank you.

  9. AnnM says:

Please be so kind as to pray for Will, a wonderful young man who is coming up to his first wedding anniversary and is suffering from Stage 4 cancer which has not responded to treatment. We are desperately praying for a miracle. Please help us by invoking St Anthony on his behalf. Please keep his wife and family in your prayers too. God Bless you all and thank you so much. A.

  10. Moro says:

For the grace of a full time job in the next six weeks or so. I have been working only part time after long unemployment and it has taken its toll on everyone. Please pray earnestly in your masses, rosaries, etc for a favorable outcome and soon.

  11. raven31 says:

Please pray for a family close to me. The father is atheist or agnostic and wants a divorce. He also has gone back on his decision to help pay for college for his two oldest daughters, one of whom has already gone for a year. There are 11 kids in this family and they homeschool. The mother is an amazing woman who is already overburdened as things are, and a divorce is the worst thing that could happen to her right now.

  12. Wendy says:

Of your charity, please pray for the soul of a man whose demons finally got the better of him and convinced him to kill himself. He had been on drugs for much of his 58 years, and when he came to the food pantry, he looked and acted like a zombie. May the mercy of God reach him (and us all).

  13. JohnMa says:

I recently had a job interview and am waiting the results. Would appreciate prayers that I get the job.

  14. Nan says:

    Prayers for all in need.

Please pray for my intentions and also for M, a protestant in a mixed marriage. She and I will be visiting 3 Marian Shrines this weekend. We’ve talked about the Eucharist and the Saints, so she has a better understanding of what the Catholic Church actually teaches. Each time she has told me that nobody has explained things to her the way I have, which is pretty noncommittal but she keeps coming back for information.

I’m not qualified for this, but I seem to be the person she’s comfortable asking. I’m not trying to persuade her of anything, just making sure she knows what the Church teaches. It’s between her and the Holy Spirit, I’m just along for the ride.

  15. Liz says:

Could I ask for prayers for a few priests who are in need? Well actually for all suffering priests please.

I will pray for all of your intentions.

  16. KateD says:

    All prayed for.

Please add prayers for the full and miraculous healing of my mom, Mary’s, brain tumor. I ask God to make it disappear completely and she be restored to health better than she’s ever known. Also that she return to Holy Mother Church. She will begin radiation and chemo in a week, 5 days a week for 5 weeks as a last ditch effort to extend her time .

Please pray for my friend Sharon who has stage 4 breast cancer. Pray that God heal her fully and miraculously. And restore her to health better than she’s every known. Also that she convert to the Catholic faith (she’s already a good Christian woman)

Please pray for Kelly who has stage 4 breast cancer and has lost all of her hair and weight. Also pray for her conversion.

And especially pray for a very holy youth who is desperately in need of God’s intervention to make things smooth out properly. Please ask God to remove the obstacles that are in the way of this young persons successful future.

Please pray for all of these intentions in Jesus’s name.

    THANK YOU!!!

  17. If anyone could take a moment to pray for my Wife and I we are in the midst of a very tumultuous and chaotic nightmare experience. We just bought a house and in what should have been a joyous time making this our home we have instead discovered the previous owners had numerous water leaks that were not fixed properly and never disclosed to us. The house is full of toxic mold and we’ve had to move out to a tiny apartment with our dogs in the not so nice part of town would be putting it charitably. We’re told it will be $150K in repairs, $50k in legal fees to try and recoup anything – which could a couple years if we ever get anything. In the meantime we are struggling to barely pay the mortgage and the rent much less magically find the resources to fix our home.
Thank you and rest assured my prayers are with all those here.

  18. pannw says:

Please pray for my husband to know Our Lord and be baptized. I’m nearly crazy worrying about him. Also, for an increase in my children’s faith, especially my teenage son. I fear he may be losing it.

May God have mercy on us all.

  19. RafqasRoad says:

Please pray for my dear friend A, suffering from her auto-immune disease related second kidney infection this year; she is in hospital on IV antibiotics. Please pray that her visit to the Rhumatologist in the next few weeks secures her a decent course of treatment (she has additional existing health conditions that rule out 99%of the medications otherwise available to folk with auto immune conditions). Please pray for her husband and daughter (my God Daughter) through this difficult time for them all; she has a job and is at uni via correspondence at the moment also that need to be protected; may our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ plus Our Lady Health of the Sick, Ss Theresa Benedicta (Dr. Edith Stein), Margaret Clitherow, Margaret of Scotland and OL of the Golden Heart intercede for them all. Also praying for folk here and Fr. Z.

  20. JonPatrick says:

Will be praying for the above intentions.
Please pray for Father Paul M who is suffering from depression, that he gets the treatment he needs and can return to the ministry where he is sorely needed.

  21. KAS says:

Praying for everyone here. Life is slamming us here too.

Pray for me that I find and USE the time to work on my editing.

Pray for my husband to come to respect my faith even if he won’t agree with it, and that he be saved.

Pray for my oldest child who is not practicing the faith, and this is the one who could quote documents and scripture and had such a solid faith as a child. He is nearly 30 and sometimes I wonder if he doesn’t have a call he is fleeing.

My brother in law is coming to stay with us. He is confined to a bed and can only manage a wheel chair for short periods. I have to figure out all his paperwork and am clueless. Please pray that God will give me a sympathetic and helpful person at the DHS today. It is a lot of hoops, but his caregiver is retiring and he needs to be moved to where family is located, either to us, who have the space for him, or to a nursing home– we want him here with us. He is a praying person!

For all my other children that their faith grows and their love God.

  22. Filipino Catholic says:

For my aunt, who is recovering from a mastectomy but has some complications, and also for the tense state of affairs on this side of the Pacific (involving the DPRK). Also for the ongoing fight against the jihadists in the south of this country, which has raged for two months and a week now.

  23. NancyP says:

For my daughter’s godfather, a friend so dear that I am crying as I type this. He will have surgery for multiple brain lesions on Monday. I have already lost two friends to brain cancer in the last year…please pray that our friend will not have to take up this cross just yet.

  24. Gregg the Obscure says:

Please pray for Catherine my wife who recently was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. Receipt of that news has made her condition worse with great fear and anxiety. We are also attempting to get in various clinical trials for new drugs that may reverse some of the effects of this terrible disease.

I pray for all of you.

NB: I requested prayers of the readers of this site back in 2010 when I had numerous heart surgeries. Those prayers contributed to my recovery.

  25. aviva meriam says:

I pray for all of you

In your kindness, please pray for my son (his medical waiver for a ROTC contract and for his Scholarship $), my husband’s employment and for my new practice.

  26. Sandy says:

Praying for all of you, Father Z also. All the intentions here really touch my heart. I need the Lord’s help and strength as I travel across country in a couple of weeks to check on my mother (96 yrs. old). She is in assisted living after a fall and now it’s too late to move her near me; she would not leave her home before. It’s a strain to do everything long distance, managing all her affairs. I dislike travelling and leaving my husband. Of course spiritual needs are most important for all of us, and I pray for my children who have left the Church. God bless all of you, and Mother Mary cover us all with Her mantle.

  27. VexillaRegis says:

For three pressing personal intentions of mine.

For my poor parish, that we get a new and good pastor. The current pastor, who is volatile and scary, has made yet another unwise decision, that has already reached the local newspapers. (Concerns parish money and reputation.)

For all the children in the World, Lord, please save them!

  28. mwa says:

Have mercy on us, O Lord, and bless us, for You are gracious and love mankind.

Appeal from a priest that arrived in a prayer request email:
“For my part, I have some news that might be difficult for you, but it is what it is. In the fall, I will be formally [requesting] XX basically as a leave of absence.  I will not be jumping to [another diocese], but rather will get a job (that is a bit daunting at age XX) and supporting myself.  The purpose is to discern if I will stay in public ministry [as a priest] or seek to be dispensed. I tell you not to cause you any distress, but because I think that you should know.
And also to ask that you pray for me in all of this.”

  29. HeatherPA says:

Prayers for all the preceding and Fr Z. Please pray for my family to be protected while we wait for our priest to be available next week to bless our home again. We had guests who stayed for a while and unbeknownst to us, left occult items in our guest suite. We found them while cleaning out the suite and it explains a great deal of things.
Also pray for these people’s conversion.
We sprinkled holy water on the items then burned them. No clue if that is proper procedure or not, however we were very nervous & upset and had no one to consult at the time.

Also please pray for MG and his family as he has been ill for a long time and is greatly discouraged.

  30. jameeka says:

I would like to ask for your prayers to God for a brave woman with advanced metastatic breast cancer, that she be well enough to fly to see her children for a couple weeks. For her physical and spiritual healing, no matter what.

Thank you, and I am praying for all your petitions.
