Wow, our own chant workshop at the Mission in San Juan Bautista! I like the momentum. And the following was just posted over at NLM — TLM Training conference (Dominican) coming to Oakland this Summer! It would be nice to get more priests in Monterey trained to offer the TLM. God Bless Fr. Milich — he is carrying a heavy load…

  2. I remember them holding one in Providence years ago. Wish they would come back! I would take my whole choir.

San Juan Bautista is a cute little town, with 2 hotels and many restaurants and antique shops.

One hotel, the San Juan Inn, is right across the highway, a 5 min. drive to the Mission:

The other, La Posada de San Juan, is a short 2 block walk up to the Mission, but more pricey:
    310 Fourth St., (831)623-4030.
There is also a couple of RV parks close by.

As to the restaurants, there are Mexican, Salvadorean, Basque, American, Chinese, Italian, German, a diner, etc…

Note this familiar-sounding little gem on their website:
“We are slowly but surely building a little Community at San Juan Bautista,
one adobe brick by adobe brick.”
