Every day I get notes from people asking me to be their college campus telephone poll, and advertise their TLM celebrations.
I am usually happy to do so, of course, especially for new TLMs placed on parish schedules.
But I am so overwhelmed with e-mail, I can’t possibly respond to everything.
So… use this entry to post announcements of TLMs for the near future.
Include the necessary who what when where how people need. Post a parish site link if possible.

There will be a 3 mile Marian procession through the streets of the californian capital, followed by a Solemn High Mass (1962) at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Sacramento California on Saturday, May 9th 2009. The Mass will be celebrated by the priests of St Stephen the First Martyr Parish, which is run by the FSSP.

The Archdiocese of Boston has just revamped their website (www.rcab.org or BostonCatholic.org)
The parish directory (under the Parishes, Schools & People) menu has improved parish listings over the old format, with separate lines and headings for each language/form in which Mass is celebrated at a given parish, including “In Latin Extraordinary Form”.
Unfortunately, I don’t think there’s a search function yet to allow the user to sort by language/form.
One caveat – The old site used to depend on parishes sending them updates, so some of the information could get horribly out of date. That probably isn’t as much of a problem with listings for Latin Masses, but still… Trust in God, verify anything the website tells you by using the parish website (if available) or telephone.
Starting in May, we will be having a usus antiquior Mass at historic St. Joseph’s on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month at 11:00 am in the diocese of St. Augustine.
We’re still trying to get the word out about the 9 AM Sunday Missa Cantata according to the 1962 Missal at New York City’s Church of Our Saviour (38th and Park). It’s been every Sunday since January (previously it had been only on occasional feast days). We’re looking forward to the Palm Sunday procession and also hoping for a big turn out on Easter Sunday.

Still not as widely known as it should be:

St. Mary Magdalen, Wandsworth Common (not far from Clapham Junction station and thus convenient for visitors to, and residents of, London).
One of the very few places where the Trad Mass is celebrated for a normal congregation, and has been successfully integrated into the parish as the main celebration over the past few months.
Sung Mass for the Feast of the Annunciation, Notre Dame chapel, Leeds University chaplaincy, St. Mark’s Avenue, Leeds, England, Wednesday March 25th. at 7.30p.m.
For the first time in recent history the Sacred Triduum will be celebrated in the traditional Rite in this diocese on Maundy Thursday at 7.30p.m., on Good Friday at 3.00p.m. and on Holy Saturday at 7.30p.m., again all at Notre Dame Chapel, Leeds.
On Palm Sunday there will be a sung Mass at Broughton Hall, Skipton at 11.45a.m. and Low Mass at 3.00p.m. at St. Joseph’s, Pontefract Road, Castleford.
Masses on Easter Sunday will be at St.Peter’s, Leeds Road, Bradford, which will be sung at 3.00p.m. and at St. Joseph’s, Castleford also at 3.00p.m.
If you are unable to attend but know somebody who may be interested and able to attend please pass this on to them. All this positive paschal activity starting with the celebration of the Incarnation is a real first.

St. John the Evangelist Church in Quincy, Mass. offers a Low Mass according to the 1962 Missal at 7 am in the basement chapel on the first and third Wednesday of the month.
It is a beautiful little chapel, and has been a welcome addition to my Lenten rule.
