“He [Satan] will set up a counter-Church which will be the ape of the Church because, he the devil, is the ape of God. It will have all the notes and characteristics of the Church, but in reverse and emptied of its divine content. It will be a mystical body of the anti-Christ that will in all externals resemble the mystical body of Christ. In desperate need for God, whom he nevertheless refuses to adore, modern man in his loneliness and frustration will hunger more and more for membership in a community that will give him enlargement of purpose, but at the cost of losing himself in some vague collectivity.”
“Who is going to save our Church? Not our bishops, not our priests and religious. It is up to you, the people. You have the minds, the eyes, and the ears to save the Church. Your mission is to see that your priests act like priests, your bishops act like bishops.”
- Fulton Sheen

"But if, in any layman who is indeed imbued with literature, ignorance of the Latin language, which we can truly call the 'catholic' language, indicates a certain sluggishness in his love toward the Church, how much more fitting it is that each and every cleric should be adequately practiced and skilled in that language!" - Pius XI
"Let us realize that this remark of Cicero (Brutus 37, 140) can be in a certain way referred to [young lay people]: 'It is not so much a matter of distinction to know Latin as it is disgraceful not to know it.'" - St. John Paul II
Grant unto thy Church, we beseech Thee, O merciful God, that She, being gathered together by the Holy Ghost, may be in no wise troubled by attack from her foes. O God, who by sin art offended and by penance pacified, mercifully regard the prayers of Thy people making supplication unto Thee, and turn away the scourges of Thine anger which we deserve for our sins. Almighty and Everlasting God, in whose Hand are the power and the government of every realm: look down upon and help the Christian people that the heathen nations who trust in the fierceness of their own might may be crushed by the power of thine Arm. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end. R. Amen.

Prayer Before Using The Internet HERE
Almighty and eternal God, who created us in Thine image and bade us to seek after all that is good, true and beautiful, especially in the divine person of Thine Only-begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, grant, we beseech Thee, that, through the intercession of Saint Isidore, Bishop and Doctor, during our journeys through the internet we will direct our hands and eyes only to that which is pleasing to Thee and treat with charity and patience all those souls whom we encounter. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Doesn’t as cool as the illustration on my Razor but far better than it’s been for about a week.
The look and feel is nice on my iPhone. Similar (same) as it was a couple of weeks ago?
I tried to log in through the iPhone to post this comment but received this error page: “The requested URL /wp-login.php was not found on this server.”
West: That is why I turned it off in the first place.
Lemme try another solution.
TEST EDIT
Hmmmm, so I compared the URL on my iphone when clicking “Login” to the one on the regular site and there is a differece — maybe there is supposed to be???
iPhone: wdtprs.com/wp-login.php
Regular: wdtprs.com/blog/wp-login.php
If I edit the URL that the iPhone login link gives me by adding the “/blog/” it works just like as if I logged in to the site using the “LOGIN or REGISTER” link above the “Make a Donation” button on the left column on the regular site.
Anything you can do for us Android users? It used to come up in mobile form on my phone, but as of recently, it has been coming up as a regular web page. Thanks.
And just as I submit my above post, I try again and it comes up mobile. Fantastic!
aod: I just changed to a new theme/plugin. It has android.
I think I can add phones which can’t bring it up easily.
Not crazy about this version. I liked the iPhone version.
Although it is nice to have some of the “sidebar” items available.
You go, Father!
You’re more tech savvy than I am! :)
Looks great on my droid. Thanks, Father!
I just get post titles on my BlackBerry. Which is good, because it loads fast. What I like about this current iteration of the mobile version is that the post and comments come up when I click on a headline. Before I had to click on a separate link to get the comments. So this is good.
At least I can post comments now, but I don’t like the look, and the formatting seems all screwed up. Using an itouch.
Seems to be loading a little more quickly on my VZW/LG. The headings seem a little bolder, clearer. Did you turn up the contrast, Father? Looks good.
Couldn’t log in on my phone right now, but it has been tempermental lately, so that may have nothing to do with the site.
The calendar date graphics aren’t showing up on my iPhone but it looks clean and is loading faster!
Rob
The full version of the website is coming up on my blackberry curve, and has been for the past week.
It seems better on my Motorola Q phone.
Works well on my G1 (Android)
The comments font is super tiny on my iPhone 3GS. I prefer the old setup, or maybe a larger font on the new one.
My Blackberry browser isn’t letting me log in to comment but I can log in using Opera mini. I like the way it looks in Opera better than the BB browser but both are clear and easy to use. I like having the search box right at the top of the BB version. It’s at the bottom using Opera.
Works well on Pre.
I like the new look on my iPhone but the font could stand to be a little bigger as it’s a little harder to read than the previous layout.
I thought the former layout was better.
Wow! This is the first time I’ve been able to post from the iPhone in a long while.
I would give the new format a gold star! :)
Fr. Z,
I like the layout on my Blackberry Bold. It is very clean and reads well.
I can also second what other are saying about logging in to comments, it allows me to put in my info, but just keeps asking me to log in.
I did find something strange. Your site only works when 3G is enabled. If I try to use the WIFI on my phone, it gives me: “Unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your service provider.” I get this error when trying to read any of the posts except this Mobile Update post (ironically). Again, the WIFI setting on my phone breaks it, 3G works fine.
I’m using the default BB browser.
Hope all of this helps.
This look is good for me on my iPhone
I like the new look, keep it.
I like the new format. It loads a lot quicker than the other version. And I had no problem logging in to post from my BlackBerry Storm 2.
On my Nokia E75, the site doesn’t look anything like that screenshot on the iPhone, but it’s very functional. It loads quickly, which is the most important thing, after being able to read the content. I like being able to see the comments under the post instead of having to click through to a separate page. [That is a big reason why I made the change.] I logged in without an issue, and it appears I can post comments without issues, too. Thank you, Father, I was really missing the ability to read your blog on the go. :)
Wow, I can actually log in to comment from the mobile page now! That’s great. The font is a bit small, though. I’m on wifi with an iPod Touch.
Everything displays well on my Palm Centro, and commenting works. The display is plainer than the former mobile version, but functional.
A slight negative is that no page ever quite finishes loading, Perhaps the problematic Javascript library I mentioned some weeks ago is still in use. Still, this detail does not interfere with regular usage, except on the login form, where it is necessary to “stop” the page-loading in order to fill in the form.
Thanks for trying this new version.
WDTPRS.com no longer loads on my old school blackberry. Guess I’ll have to fork over some cash for a new phone.
I much prefer the larger font on the old mobile version (iPhone) but like the easier access to the combox. Also, is there a way to add a shortcut to the top-of-the-page under the combox?
I am not going to get involved with editing a mobile template.
I changed the template so as to have features that were useful to me and that would allow people to login and comment. The other was less useful for that.
John 6: old school blackberry
What Blackberry? Maybe I can add it.
Father Z,
I have an iPhone. The features of the new format are great but the text size is so very small and very difficult for me to read, even with my reading glasses. Do you know of a way for me to increase the text size?
And, FWIW, regarding the old iPhone mobile version (like in your photo above), I was always able to log-in at the bottom of the main page, but was never able to log-in on the comments pages.
And, as always, thank you for all that you do. You remain in my prayers.
