An important reason why I will – must – never, ever be a bishop

I spent the whole afternoon in the Victoria and Albert Museum.  Incredible.

One of the things I like about the museum are the hand’s on exhibits.

Here is your chance to try a reversal of the old adage about the iron fist in the velvet glove.

  1. That. Is. Awesome. I’m incredibly jealous. So cool, Father.

  2. It was very comfortable and flexible.

    But… imagine this all over.

  3. Jack Hughes says:

Well I may never be a Bishop Father but whilst i was in America I created an alter ego – Cardianal Von Dracula; a Traddy Prelate if there ever was one :), coming soon to blog format

  4. Agnes says:

From one Minnesotan to another – Imagine slipping on the ice! Father has fallen, and he can’t get up!

I don’t know why I’m imagining priests in suits of armor on the hockey rink.

  5. Tony Layne says:

Thank you, Agnes, for a mental image which will stay with me for awhile!

You need to travel to the National Museum of Iceland in Reykjavik, where you can dress as a Viking raider in full mail with sword & shield.

Not like I have a picture or two of me doing that….

Whoa, that IS very cool, Father!
I wouldn’t want to be in a fight with that iron glove, though; could inflict some ‘verrrry ‘serious damage!
I never got to the V & A on any of my trips to England…the hands-on exhibits look like fun!
