Ooo you should have taken the train to Hogwarts! Great place for blognic!
Trying to get back Stateside for the NYC premiere, Father? That was last night!
‘problem with a wall’? ‘someone who caught me’? I’m trying to read between the lines, did you have an accident, Father? I hope not, but, I’ll be saying a prayer for your health and safety.
Charivari: I still have a few days here.
Trying to persuade the studio to digitally insert some Say the Black, Do The Red mugs and some Mystic Monk into the coffeeshop scene?
Hmmm…. Mystic Monk. Sounds like a name for one of the characters. Perhaps a distant relative of The Fat Friar.
Father, am I the only one who caught the Harry Potter joke in this post? xD
“I had a problem today with a wall at Kings Cross station at Track 9 3/4. I made it a bit late to the exhibit as a result.”
Ha! You have to run right at it and not stop…
@ torch621,
You aren’t the only one. Just as my nom de blog is a bit of sly misdirection, my alternate nom de blog for sites which use Blogger accounts to log in is also a bit of sly misdirection, namely H. Potter.Duelist.
Pax et bonum,
Keith Töpfer
If you don’t quite grasp the misdirection, it will be because you aren’t aware that my middle initial is ‘H‘ (although not derived from Harry or Henry), and you haven’t translated my German surname into English.
Well done, Father. I second Charivari’s suggestion: the Mystic Monk is most certainly a (more pious?) relation of the Fat Friar.
And to Herr Töpfer: one of my aliases out on the web is Harrius Figulus (or Henricus, if I’m feeling even more cagey).
That’s what your problem was:
1) You were NOT supposed to stop at the wall
2) You were supposed to be at an angle in a “charge!” position, not a “cowering” position
3) Your “Do the Red, Say the Black” mug with the Mystic Monk coffee put a jinx against your taking the Hogwarts train.
Sorry, better luck next time.
[I think you misread me. Who said I stopped?]
WOW! Is that really at King’s Cross? My kids are Potterphiles (as am I) and we will *have* to make sure we see that the next time we are in London. Love the photo, Father!!
That is an awesome photo. I’ll have to check that out next time I’m in London. And get a photo, of course. It would probably be my Facebook profile picture for the rest of my life. (I’m in full Potter geek-out at the moment as I went to an advance screening of the new flick last night.)
LOLz Best of luck next time Father!
