Confirmed: UK will use new Roman Missal from 1st Sunday of Advent 2011

I just saw this on the site of the Catholic Truth Society, which is the UK publisher for the new, corrected Roman Missal.

The Roman Missal in its new English translation will be published by the Catholic Truth Society in Autumn 2011. This means that the Catholic Bishops’ Conference can now confirm that the full text of the Missal will be used at Mass from the First Sunday of Advent this year.

I hope they have good proof-readers.

They will begin to use the new, corrected translation of the Order of Mass beginning in September.

I will remind you that I have a special edition of the Say the Black – Do the Red coffee mug with the date of the 1st Sunday of Advent on the other side.

What’s interesting is that they have an inexpensive version that can be used from September on, and there are resources for parishioners available from June on. I wonder if they’re just going to spring the new mass on us the first Sunday in Advent or if we are going to get a prep period like that.
    Fr Z?
    Anyone else have any information?

WOW, it sure is quiet in here. Does that mean nobody has a plan?
