As an experiment, I wiggled my fingers when I disagreed with someone in the office. They thought it looked ridiculous.
This is so funny!! I love how Colbert just instantly flips their responses back to them. Thanks, Fr.
That was one of the funniest things I have seen in a while.
Absolutely hysterical! These kids sure can run a meeting, eh? They’re into “process” but weak on substance…strong on self-righteousness. “female-bodied” Ha!
That was amazing. Best laugh I’ve had in awhile. Also gave me an odd mental image of an ecumenical council in the distant future where constitutions and decrees were debated by funny hand signals.
Oh boy….
I wanted to be supportive of these people… you know… legitimate concerns and all that….
But PUHLEEZE! Get a job. Don’t have one? Create one for yourself. Do work. Shoulder some responsibility….
Look, I am no fiscal conservative, but this sort of nonsense isn’t what Belloc and Chesterton were talking about… Consensus building? Funny hand gestures?
How about securing employment?
And “female bodied?!?!” ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!!!!
Ugh.
Father:
I get the seminary comparison! That phase was, mercifully, coming to an end as I approached ordination.

I am not a Colbert fan, but that was just downright funny. Point of Order on that so you all cannot block me.
The best thing I saw regarding the “occupy” movement was a picture of a Wall Street employee carrying a sign that said “Occupy an Office – Get a Job.” I think that pretty much summed it up.
Funny thing is (or sad) – most people commenting at Colbert’s site think the two people in the video are awesome and that Colbert has done OWS a great service!
